What defensive player takes it to the next level on your team?
IMO for LSU it's The Freak. While some know him, I think by years end, he will be playing at a high level. Also think Tharold Simon could be an AA if he plays to his potential. If CLoston could stay healthy , he could be really good. RVinson will be a player too.

SAM(OLB).
DePriest is gonna get a lot of playing time as the 3rd ILB this year, depending on the offense and set the opposition has.

If he stays healthy, Alec Ogletree has a chance to be an All-American at middle linebacker. Converted safety that can run and lay the fricking wood.

Was a 5* out of hs but didn't qualify and went juco. Wasn't cleared to practice until fall camp was half over with. Only started 2 games but showed flashes of his 5* ability racking up 7.5 tfl in limited action.
Now he's a starter and ready to live up to his potential.

Not any more than normal, really. We're lacking in the LB department, but other than that, we've got some solid, talented depth built up. Just waiting on the coaching

This. We are strong on the dine. Backers are our issue.
That and we have to teach them how to cover.
