Yeah, it’s hard to motivate a team to compete and win games when your coaching staff and fan base tell them it’s not a real season and list these reasons.
On the other hand, most teams just try to go out and win. Your narrative is one of a loser, so your team is a loser. Better luck next year.

With that many staff changes, that can't be a good sign for coach O in the long term. If I were a top notch assistant coach I'd have real reservation about taking a job at a place that just cleared out most of their staff, including their DC and their OC (or passing game coordinator if you want to continue to call him that) after just one year. That doesn't seem like the most stable of situations at the moment.
