IF Miller helped set a trap to pin the Jeep in, then shooting commenced and an innocent person was killed then it stands to reason Miller would have been arrested, booked, and charged in relation to the crime.
Street cam's are all over the Strip front and back. Camera footage is plentiful, investigators have had 1 months to weed through it, pile up witness testimony and view evidence. Miller hasn't been charged.

You are twisting yourself into knots now trying to defend Miller. The detective obviously implied causation with his sworn testimony and was not merely making a statement based on what happened when. Get real.

Nothing in that statement eliminates any guilt from Miller, because they never mention anywhere that he did not read the text. If he hadn't, they would have said it. Fact is before arriving almost certainly knew that the reason he was called was to bring a weapon, which he did and led to the murder of a woman
The statement says he was already en route to pick Miles up. So he didn't head in that direction with the intent to deliver the weapon. What we don't know is when (or if), in the five or so minutes between Miles sending the text and the victims fleeing, did Miller see Miles' text about the gun. Did he see it in time to bail out on meeting Miles? It's definitely a question worth answering, but wouldn't necessarily make him culpable in the shooting.

That is accessory to murder, especially according to Alabama law, except for star Alabama athletes apparently.

Then why not arrest Miller? I know that an arrest isn't required to bring charges, but you generally want your murder suspects behind bars if at all possible.

quote:Surely the DA viewed video and camera footage. They've had a month to investigate this thing, the DA damn sure shouldn't make a decision on what the detectives "told" him, he and his asst DA's should've viewed the evidence for themselves and then determined if there was enough to charge Miller.
Sounds to me like Detectives told the DA he blocked them in, and the DA didnt care.

Seriously, SOMEONE [Slackavelli] surely knows how to circumvent the DA's decision to not charge Miller in this criminal case.

Nope. Prosecutorial discretion.
That said, if the detectives had recommended charges to the DA, it would be in writing and subject to FOIA.

Legally, the DA has a tough time charging Miller. I 100% understand why they wouldn’t
Not the University and basketball team using any punishment? That’s a different story
If Miller had a response text that said “I’m coming pick you up man and we are getting out of there” or if cell phone logs show he didn’t open the gun text until after the shooting, the defense attorney would have made that known immediately in his release
So it’s known now Miller saw the text. Morally, it’s reprehensible he decided to drive on and allow Miles to retrieve the gun. Miller failed human decency and all common sense

Don’t make any sense. Innocent people to hide behind a lawyer. But let’s point out a couple things in this letter.
-Miller didn’t know about the gun in the back seat and never seen it. If Miller didn’t know about the gun then why would Miles text him asking him to bring him his gun?
-court testimony- police allege that Miller parked his car in a manner that blocked the Jeep that Harris, her boyfriend and a cousin, who is an Alabama student, were in. Bradley also allegedly parked his car in that manner.
- Miller lawyer is saying the police lied under oath in court by denying he never blocked the Jeep.
Miller hired a lawyer because he knows what he did was wrong. And his lawyer is gonna defend him like OJ Simpson lawyer did, and we all know OJ did it. End of the day if Miller wasn’t an athlete he would be brought in form do the ethics committee by the school and be suspended and most likely charges
