You must not be very old, I'm just stating a fact. Hell the NIT was a bigger deal in the 40s and 50s. I'm sorry arkysaw can't even make the tournament nowadays though, keep living in the 90's if it makes you feel better

For a guy who was saying history is everything, he sure has precious little grasp of it.

Arkansas had success well before the 90's. Just ran into a rough patch. During this rough patch, Missouri happened to have the best coach they've ever had.

ETA: and saying you weren't successful in the tournament because your coach didn't care about it is downplaying it's significance. That's like saying Arkansas hasn't won an SEC title in football because it doesn't matter to us.

Norm said out loud he didn't care about the tournament. In the end, that attitude probably hastened his departure.

Apparently your current coach doesn't care about it either. No wonder you guys are so pathetic.

It's also our second sport, and seemingly your first.

And we are thrilled suitcase Mike took a hike to Arkansas. Have to admit we owe you one for that.

It's like you fricked the ugly sister so we could hit the hot chick. Or in your case it would be you fricked your ugly sister.

Dude you act like they're one of the worst programs in the SEC, Big 12 or Big 8. Mizzou's program always been known for basketball in the Big 12 and Big 8 and are obviously one of the best teams in the SEC. Give it up.

Lol this analogy doesn't work here. Frank Haith isn't on Mike Anderson's level. Anderson has won everywhere and will soon win at Arkansas. Frank Haith was on the verge of getting fired at his previous job. He had one good year in which he inherited a team from MA. He then lost in the first round of the tournament to a 15 seed.

The word obtuse comes to mind.

Seriously, you're making an arse of yourself.

Where has MA won? Mike Anderson isn't on Haith's level as exhibited by what Haith did last year with the same players MA couldn't win with.

Keep drinking the cool aid, in a year or two you will be calling for MA's head. Trust me, his brand of ball can't win. We saw it time after time.

MA is no NR no matter how badly you want him to be and the last time I checked Corliss was out of eligibility.

As someone who was born and raised in the Lone Star State, I hate all Yankees. Because of the SEC, I have been forced to change my tune. I like the Yankee Tigers now, and I hope you beat up your fellow Yankees. Basketball is stupid though.

Highest winning percentage of any coach in Mizzou history with at least a three year tenure

Elite 8 at Mizzou. He should get a statue for this IMO.

Conference USA championship and Sweet 16 at UA motherfricking B.

Mike has been successful at every HC stop of his career. Its irrational to believe he wont win here as well.

Until Frank Haith does something besides get bounced in the first round with a good team that he inherited, he is not on MA's level.

Thanks for defining your version of success.

Frankly I don't ever want to see Haith stoop to Suitcase Mike's level.

Pick this thread up in two years and you will be agreeing with everything I am saying. It's just a matter of time. Have fun believing otherwise.

Deep down, they know this. You can see it all over their team boards. "Too many fouls." "We always get out rebounded." "There's no set offense." "We can't win on the road." "Why do we let other teams run layup drills on us?" And the death knell, "Maybe the Mizzou fans were right."

They can't admit it now. It's too soon. Plus they're paying him like he's Mike Krzyzewski.

Awesome how you guys downplay anything good that Mike did for you. And yes I'm aware of some of his shortcomings.

ETA: I don't think it should be hard to admit that Mike turned the program around. IIRC, Mizzou was pretty awful when he arrived
