Trask is just good value there. He may not even start, but that's worth 50 bucks just for the reward if right.

It did when it went from McElwain to Nuss.

averaging 38 ppg two straight years up from 34 ppg the year prior with McElwain. Like I said, Alabama's offense has been consistently good with multiple different OCs. So explain to me why LSU has to be different?

I’m just saying there is a lot of unknown to be giving him better odds than Mac or Trask.

There's plenty of unknowns with Alabama next year and Trask didn't exactly light the world on fire this year nor are they revamping their offense in the offseason to some new system that wasn't in place this year. He's a solid QB but there is nothing Florida does on offense that screams Heisman trophy type of season for Trask.

I didn’t say LSU couldn’t be good next year, I said no one knows for sure what the offense will look like. How can you give a QB those odds that has maybe started one game and you don’t even know what offense they’re running.

Nuss was a terrible OC the only thing he had going for him was a ridiculous amount of talent. He left Alabama because he told to leave.

That's basically people betting 2019 LSU isn't a one hit wonder.

With Brady leaving your offense could change too.

It’s a shame you can’t talk about football here without people getting defensive.

Trask being that low makes me think Vegas might think Emory will win the job

Do you think Mullen will give him a legit chance to win it?

I would wait until the portal is finished before crowning Brennan the starter. Obviously Brady leaving is a huge hit to his odds.

The number should be like 30 to 1 instead of 10 to 1, IMO.

for the same reasons players in his position are given good odds every season. Players (namely QBs) on good teams typically have good odds before a season. Kelly Bryant had pretty good odds the year after Watson too.

Yes, although I do think Trask will win the job and put up better stats than the majority of QBs ahead of him to limited praise

LSU can't sign a grad transfer QB until the summer. Brennan is going to be the starter unless he gets hurt in practice.

What offense?

The one with Jamar Chase, Terrace Marshall, and Thad Moss.

Clearly these odds were released before Guarantano announced he was returning.

Damn. Mac Jones over Mond and Trask

To be fair, the implied percentage for Mac and Trask in those odds is like >.5%. They probably just throw those out and see if they gain traction

Yea I think Jones gets a shot.

To me..Mullen probably wants Jones to start. His whole career basically he has had a mobile QB. He calls plays a lot more comfortably when he trust his QB to run often. We really struggled in short yardage, which is traditionally where he uses the QB in his offense.

I just think he thought Jones wasn't ready behind that Oline this year. I think he has a good chance of starting if he works his arse off this offseason.
