All you XII folks on here spouting off....

Let's compare the processes between your conglomeration of a conference and the SEC on how you end your relationship with said league.

You'd need a Brinks truck and an army of lawyers to get out of the XII. All we need in the SEC is a piece of stationary and a pen alerting the home office we're leaving.

You know why? Because no one wants to leave the SEC.

Really? That happens on a regular basis. Why would we be scared of that? I mean obviously we would rather not get our shite pushed in but if it happens in the Bowl Game but let's just say that neither is scary nor would it be surprising. This may shock you but our team is not very good.

As far as this story I am pretty sure we are obligated to go to whatever bowl wants us and I seriously doubt which 7-5 or 6-6 team we are matched up with worries Coach Herman that much, he has bigger problems to worry about. Like if there might be anybody on campus somewhere who can play offensive line.

Hey man glad you like the SEC. I actually prefer the old school round robin we have here in this league now. Super conferences kind of blow.

Well ok I did prefer it until that stupid pointless title game was introduced. I mean how many times did somebody get screwed by that thing in the old Big 12?

Edit: Though I guess I should say that we are unlikely to have to worry about a championship game ruining our playoff appearance any time soon.

Chatter, jizz and big leads get A&M excited.

Yeah 'chatter' color me unimpressed.

I mean I suppose I might see him being resistant to playing A&M because of some kind of recruiting thing, but even that is farfetched. But Missouri? Now you have taken the idiocy too far. Nobody cares about or thinks about Missouri down here.

Multiple sources are telling me that Herman is been very vocal about being terrified of losing to either Missouri or Texas A&M and becoming 6-7 at the hands of former big 12 teams

Uh....you didn't put the rest of my post in there about the process to end your relationship with a conference: The XII requires a "grant of rights" and more lawyer-enriched procedures to leave the league. In the SEC, you send a letter to the home office stating you're leaving.

And we all know why: No one wants to leave the SEC. You have to hold everyone hostage in the XII to keep it together.

Points to you I guess for taking the discussion to something about round-robin play.

They are not afraid of Missouri

UT is afraid of KU not investing money into their football program because Nebraksa is running around the Big XII putting ideas in the heads of former Big 8 schools.

This makes no connection as to why Texas does not want to play Mizzou in a bowl game.

Also: KU is not going to invest money into their football program. They aren't goin to do so because it's a loser. It will always be a loser. The state does not care about Football. The school does not care about football. The state does not have enough kids to make a decent football team in good years.

quote:

If KU doesn't put the money into their football program for stadium renovations then the Big XII will have a bottom feeder who cannot hold their weight.

KU Will forever be a bottom feeder in any conference they are a part of. They're an albatross around your neck and you will never change that.

quote:

Afterall the last 6 years Texas has been trying to recreate the image of the Big XII.

They're failing. A great example is this exact statement. "Texas" is trying to recreate the image of the Big 12. Not "All the schools", not "The big 12 is trying to change". Texas is still the conference owner, and everyone else is a vassal state.

quote:

Texas is telling Mizzou no because KU would tell them no as well

Why would KU tell them no?

KU and MU played basketball in an exhibition game that wasn’t televised this year.
