Not really. Even if Missouri loses to SC, if they win out after that game, their in. Missouri is the only team in the East that controls their own destiny mostly due to the light front-end schedule; you guys didn't play an SEC game until your 5th game against Vandy. The wins vs battered Georgia and Florida have you in the drivers seat. But obviously SC, OM and A&M will tell the tale. I like Missouri to win the East regardless. Not missing a beat after losing your starting QB was impressive.

So SC doesn't win the head to head tie-breaker due to Mizzou losing inter-divisional games?
Seems backwards. Head-to-head should always be the final deciding factor.
But if that's the case, I doubt Mizzou loses 3 more games. Congrats on winning the East in your second year Mizzou. Damn.

If Georgia had come in healthy, it would be a completely feel for the season. We got a huge boost coming out of that game that multiplied against Florida. The Tigers are playing dominant ball. There are bashers that take issue with that - but every true football fan understands the power of momentum.
A&M was a set up to be a challenging game. But, with Johnny boy hurt, they go from being a two-player team to no real threat this season. I hope like hell their coaches don't drug him up to play all season. He needs the time to heal his shoulder. The kid is an a$$ but he is something special to watch. We'll see.

SC won't win a head-to-head tie breaker (if they win) unless Mizzou loses 2 SEC games, and then it would be a 3 way tie between UGA (should it win out), SC, and Mizzou. Whoever is ranked higher takes it in that scenario.
The way the east plays out has the potential to be nightmare, if Mizzou loses 2 games.

In the event of a tie for the division championship, the following procedures will be used to break all ties to determine the SEC Football Championship Game representative. All Conference versus Conference Games (both division and non-division) will be counted in the Conference Standings.
A. TWO-TEAM TIE
1. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
2. Records of the tied teams within the division.
3. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall record (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
