Every other top job that will open this offseason? No Saban in the division, no being compared to the GOAT coach.

LSU job? Saban in the division, and you have to beat him to keep your job.

Some programs understand how much the rest of the SEC is fricked until Saban retires. LSU will be one of those programs by this time next year.

When Saban does retire, the tears and heart attacks from Bama fans basing their whole life happiness around the success of their football program will make this all worth it. Hope you get somebody good though.

No one on tRant has any idea whether Herman would take the LSU job or not.

If he turns out like the last Houston coach to move to an SEC team then I don't want him. Fortunately, I think he'll be a much better coach than that guy.

aTm has a cuck-bitch mentality, that's why they ran from big brother UT. SEC west was their only option, take that money and somewhat save face, but they only continue to be middle of the road in their conference.

As far as Herman goes, he's the opposite of aTm, he is a winner that welcomes a challenge such as the SEC west.

So chew on that, you cuck bitch. Stay scared, just like you live

True, but what we know of the guy he bailed on USCe when they lost to Citadel. That implies he isn't a guy who is willing to take Nick head on, not when a soft PAC 12 is sitting there's ready to be raped.

LSU coming open is going to cause at least one of those to wait until next year if not 2. While LSU may not be as good of a job as Texas, it's definitely better than ND, and on par with USC. The recruiting alone makes it a destination job. Yes we have Saban in the division but he will retire shortly and ant incoming coach would know that especially if Sexton is their agent as well.

While LSU may not get Herman, it's ridiculous to act like there is no chance. There is always a chance. Herman, Fisher, Kiffin, Petrino will probably all get looks. It'll be a pick your poison situation.

Yeah, but there certainly seems to be some that believes he's a lock to LSU.

Too many variables for anyone to say that with any kind of certainty. A potential Big 12 bid, potential Texas/ND/USCw openings, and the ability for him to make himself a legend if he gets a wild hair and stays at Houston.

But hey, if y'all want to put all of your eggs in that basket while looking for a coach in what'll be a tough market with some big openings go right on ahead. Just remember, Texas had to settle for their 4th-5th pick because they got too big for their britches and their AD fricked it up.

Originally I thought Herman wouldn't want to fight it out in the SEC West facing Alabama every year but the more I think about it now the more I think Herman may take the job if offered. LSU is a great job with no in-state rival and some of the most fertile grounds recruiting in America. It's a high profile job that would make Herman a household name. Having said all that there are a lot of high profile gigs coming open this season - and maybe Notre Dame. Herman will probably at the top of the list for every single one of those jobs.

Exactly the problem. Every blue blood in the country who isn't in the top 20 right now is looking at Herman as a savior. But there is only one Herman.

Go read any forum and you will see.

LSU is one of the top 5 jobs in the country. Period.

Facilities are top notch.
Fans are as passionate as any school in the country.
Talent level available is excellent.

We may not get our top choice but we won't be going to deep in the pile.

LSU stacked everyone else fricked.
