Bold Prediction: UT vs Gators

UF stacks the box our first drive daring Milton to beat them and not giving our backs much room to run.
We catch one of their DBs on an island against Squirrel or Thornton and hit them for a big play action TD wide open in the end-zone our first offensive series making it look easy and fast. Announcers start to say that last week was just a letdown performance and the Tennessee fast strike offense is back.
Milton goes on to look about like about he did against Virginia the rest of the game, but our running game completely takes over in the second half.
Wright ends up having another monster game and Bru Mccoy makes a few clutch drive converting runs after the catch on the sidelines.
Vols by 13 points after lizards score late to make it look closer than it was.
Vols defense has a coming out party this game. With numerous and frequent QB hurries, 3 plus sacks and one big turnover.
Tennessee's dline and linebackers will be too much for that gator front.

2003, what happened in 2003 that hasn't happened since?
I won't give the answer away, but it has something to do with Tennercee playing in Gainesville.

Hammer the under. It’ll be a bunch of field goals

A hint, Peyton Manning couldn't do it either.

Dude...if I am an offensive coordinator facing Tennessee...here is my plan. On critical down and distance, under throw deep routes to whoever Haden is guarding...let him run into the receiver without turning his head. 9 times out of 10, he will get the PI flag and you will pick up the easy 1st down.

another hint, 5 UF coaches were part of the answer. No matter how bad they were they still managed to do this?

Our success running will be a very large part of a victory, if we win.
And yeah, I dont think (hope) UF will be able to run on us very efficiently.
The secret is out! Our Achilles heel! Dammit.

Peyton sucked so much, he gave up 62 against Florida in one of those games.

That's a safe bet with the way Milton and the WRs looked against AP.
Heupel said after the game that things aren't nearly as bad as they look on offense and that it was just a lot of timing miscues by the entire offensive unit because they are still a pretty new group of guys out there together that led to the inconsistent passing game but can easily be fixed with a few tweaks just like early on last year.
Last time he said this in early 2021 i didn't believe him but we came out looking like a completely different team on offense the following week.
So will give them the benefit of the doubt.
Hooker did a criminally underrated job of just keeping everyone in sync together and on the same page at a fast pace before each play happened.

You are getting close to the answer, what was the result of giving up 62 at the hands of the greatest QB in SEC history?

The running game is the most dominant part of Heupel's offense and always has been.
UF still has plenty of athletes out there on defense though.
Milton is going to have to connect on a few 20 plus yard passing routes to keep them honest and let it really thrive.

I’m not picking nor betting on the Vols to win in Gainesville again until we finally do it.
We’re either going to get embarrassed or lose late in some demoralizing fashion. I won’t be convinced otherwise until I see us pull it out with my own eyes.

I understand your feelings, especially after this previous weekend, but we have never had the kind of coaching advantage as we do now.
You could never say that in all of those previous trips to the swamp with a straight face. We were either much worse are barely equal.

Look what you have done Alabama. Ffs.

If the gators D can replicate Austin Peay's first half defense... but for the whole game, the gators have a chance.

OK since I haven't seen the correct answer to my question, I will answer it for you. Tennercee hasn't beaten the Gators in the Swamp since 2003, that's 20 years ago and Tennercee has a 3-17 record against the Gators over that time frame.
When the Vols come to Gainesville they fold like a cheap deck of cards.
In fact, since the Gators first win in the series in 1954 the Gators are 31-11 against UT. This weekend the Gators will continue their dominance over the Vols at home and overall. Gators 27 - Vols 14. The Gators aren't all the way back, but still good enough to handle Tennercee at home.
