BobLeeDagger: The man who predicted Ole Miss winning the CWS a year before it happened

Picture this. It’s June 2021. Mississippi State has finally won their first baseball national title. Ole Miss fans are cheering because they think LSU is hiring Bianco away and they will finally be rid of him. But then at the last second, LSU wises up, pulls out and hired Jay Johnson from Arizona and Ole Miss is left with a coach who they know tried to leave them.

All is right with the world for Mississippi State baseball.

Then on one July morning a man woke up in a cold sweat, wondering if the nightmare he just had was just a dream, or a prophecy. All he knew is that he saw the only thing that could bring him down from the high of seeing his Mississippi State Bulldogs win a national championship a month before. And that nightmare was “Ole Miss is going to win the 2022 national championship”.

He made the post on 7/20/2021 and the wild man kept bumping it himself all year reminding us all what was coming. Even when we resisted him all the way until game 2 of the CWS Finals.

For those of you who think this is an exaggeration, it’s not. And the link below is the thread in it’s entirely on the Ole Miss board.

I don't have to explain the wild nature of Mississippi collegiate sports. Far too many times have both schools seen success only to be snake bitten by some caveat that seals the "long con" fate.

For the past few weeks, I couldn't think of anything that could pull me down from the 9th cloud that I have rested upon following our National Championship.
