Do you think the improved communication is about reading the defenses and making adjustments? I would think that's much easier when the crowd is quiet.

Alabama's home crowd is relatively quiet when Alabama is on offense. The difference is that Kiffin can more effectively send in instructions when there's not so much chaos.

I would think that Sims having to rely on communication from Kiffin, rather than reading it himself, would slow the processing of information and make disguising easier.
Have you noticed how much more effective Sims/Alabama is when they go to their HUNH offense? There's plenty of time for Kiffin to select the formation and play, and Sims to get his offense lined up.

I noticed that as well. In fact I was pissed at how effective y'all's HUNH was compared to ours especially because we've run it for three years and y'all have run it for 8 months.

If Jones and Smith make life miserable for Simms none of this matters!!!! Bama will try to run and throw slants/wr screens, Simms won't have time for anything else(or shouldn't)!

As Auburn's QB Marshal demonstrates, sometimes things work better when the QB doesn't have to think so much.

the thing about this is that it is extremely hard to bring Blake down, and when he is flushed out, he has some of his best plays.
