I liked the way it was before Ian Fitzsimmons left: Lance and Ian on the Roundtable and Dunaway and Brown with their own show.
THIS x 10000000
I especially liked it when Dunnaway and Brown were over on 94.5 at the same time Finebum was over on AM 690. That way, one could avoid listening to Finebum all day long.

Opening Drive is much better than roundtable. Lance Taylor is a piece of shite.
I do not like LT one bit, but his show is still leaps & bounds better than the Opening Drive. OD is painful to listen to most mornings.

You got that backwards. Finebaum was FM and D&B were down in the basement on the AM side.

Why all the hate for LT?
The only couple of things I would change about it is to have Rockstar be on the air more, and for them to bring back the Friday segment they called Taste of the Table. Showcased a different liquor each week. I would have never tried Bulleit bourbon if it were not for that.

3pm-7pm: Rick and Bubba Replay
Big WTF!?! there.
I guess this is why the OD was following Finebaum's format this morning. They had three callers on at once trying to yell over each other.

I listened to Eli and Stan this AM, and they were a nice change from the self congratulatory trio of Barker, del Greco, and Kurre.
They are a nice change...Barker, del Greco and Kurre are better...no doubt. But I'm going to stick with Eli and Stan just so I don't have to listen to one white trash/ghetto caller after another. I cannot stand their callers. They, just like Finebaum, give idiots all the rope in the world to hang themselves but cycle thru the occasional good caller as if they don't meet the standard of what they are looking for. Yeah, we want more callers like Big Game and Legend.

Rick and Bubba replay has been on the air at 97.3 for a while now. Probably have a contract in place and that's why they're still doing it. Cox just rebranded it The Zone from The Buck. They were 3rd place at best in the area when it came to playing country music. Probably why they had R&B replay to begin with.

On Finebaum, Legend is funny 1, maybe 2 days a week. Big Game, I can hardly understand.

Yeah, but even douche serves a purpose.

I wish all the retards would quit calling in. I now have to have both an ebonics dictionary and a tard dictionary to understand 2 1/2 hours of Finebaum's show.

He comes across as the typical meathead who thinks his shite doesn't stink. Never cared for him. May be that's just his radio persona, but I don't care for it.

I don't think he serves a purpose at all. He isn't entertaining and he never brings anything to the show. I think the general consensus of listeners is that they can't stand him. Every time there's been an article about the show on al.com, the comments have been brutal. The story disappears from the main page, even if it has more comments than the "most comment" stories. Lance hates criticism. That's pretty much why they stopped taking calls several years ago. D & B will take them when he's on vacation. The show is much better when it's just those two.

Poor wording considering some of the current regulars.

Tammy, Legend, and I-Man...I speak redneck. But I cant understand Robert, the dude with the voice box in NC, the other retard, K-dub, Big Game and the rest of the Tyrells.

Does anyone have a link to the ratings? I think I heard that the OD was the #1 morning show in Birmingham, regardless of format.
Also, does Eli Gold still have announcing commitments other than Bama? (NASCAR, Arena League, etc.)

I get why they take calls from Robert every day. If I'm at my desk I can turn the speakers up a tad and understand him.
But voice boxes are hard enough to understand in person, much less over the phone, and then broadcasted on the radio.

You aren't missing much if you can't understand that...another Shane clone.
