Y'all need to quit hating on ex-coaches who gave it their best. I don't care if you hate on the assholes like Mac and Mullen, but Napier is a good dude, and I feel bad for all parties involved that it didn't work out, him included.

Didn't think I'd upvote a Gator in this thread, but this perspective is 100% the right one. I'm proud that Richt came back to Athens and feels welcome with the team.

Mark Richt is 10x the coach Billy was, so its no wonder he remembered somewhat favorably.

Billy wouldn't even wear the school colors, still hasn't posted any farewell statement, and ran UF into the ground with his uncontrollable ego about being a world class play caller.

He is a bum, its disrespectful to Mark Richt to mention him in the same post as Billy. Heck, it would be disrespectful to compare any functioning adult with Billy.

Petty on my part, but I always hated that he wore black all the time.

Currently remodeling the house on Lake Oconee. Bunk beds. Kitchen with a juice bar. The basement will be wall to wall chalk boards.

Someone needs to re-open Charlie Williams Lodge so UGA linemen have a place to get their fill of mashed potatoes.....Our O line has not been like they were when Charlie Williams existed....our fan base is healthier though but not nearly as happy LOL....

Every UGA head coach from Vince Dooley on has moved back to Athens when they've retired. Dooley, Goff, Donnan and Richt.
