We all saw LSU gain 9 yards and 0 first downs in the first half vs UGA. We saw the signs LSU offense was shitty multiple times last year. LSU offense set 2 all time records last year for lack of production.
1. 0 1st downs vs a decent UGA defense for 30 mins in the SECCG. That has never happened in the 20 yrs of the SECCG.
2. First team to be shut out in any BCS game let alone title game.
Bama was on a whole different level than LSU. When LSU couldn't get a turnover or a big special teams play they scored 0 pts and produced 92 yrds.
They whined all year that their lack of offensive production was because of short fields, but when they had to drive the field they never even got into scoring position and produced 92 yrds.

Biggest fluke of the season could be LSU demolishing UGA in the SECCG despite UGA not allowing a 1st down in the entire 1st half.
I would venture to say that every future winner of the SECCG from now on will have at least one first down per half.
Btw, Bama fans, this game actually did take place. You may have watched it from your couch.

Lawlz. The NCG was still within reach in the 4th quarter so this notion Alabama was on a whole different level is pretty ridiculous.
3-0....6-0.....9-0.....12-0.....15-0

Don't care. We won the SEC Championship. And we all know how much you think conference championships are better than national championships, don't we buddy? Or do I need to go back and find that post?

Think he's trying to tell you it's a fluke. Since you know, long field goals are supposed to be givens and since they missed 3, the game was a fluke.
Nevermind the fact that their precious 2009 undefeated season was saved on an unsuccessful field goal attempt too in the Tennessee game.
That game was a fluke, Tennessee should have won.

You didn't play the best team from the East in the SECG.
You played UGA. Who was beaten by USCe in Athens, the team from the East that went 5-0 vs the other east members.
System isn't fair, but its the rules all the presidents agreed to.

Yeah I'm sure you and the other Alabama fans were really complaining about the unfairness of it in 2009.

It was an undisputed, undefeated, rose bowl championship in 2009 nothin to dispute. Beat everyone on the schedule.
If LSU wants to claim a title for last year they have the right to. They beat everyone on the schedule. If they would gave kept it close the AP would have split the title.
If Bama would have beaten that lesser team on 11/5 we still wouldn't be having these discussions.
Any Championship with a loss can be debated 2011 was a good year, but Bama blew a chance at another perfect season.

Is it safe to say Alabama-Tennessee 2009 was a fluke?

The Vols outgained Alabama 341-256 and Crompton outplayed the Tide's Greg McElroy . He was 21 of 36 passing for 265 yards with an early interception. McElroy's 18 of 29 produced only 120 yards. Ingram, who emerged as a Heisman Trophy contender the past two weeks gained 99 yards on 18 carries and surpassed 1,000 yards on the season.
