Well it sucked to lose, but I was just glad we made it there at least. Maybe one day we can win it.

Says the guy who claims a 10 point underdog choked.

Looks like this may be a thread for subjective adults.

When the number 1 team leads in the forth quarter, then gives up 2 TDs and gains -1 yard in the forth, there is only one thing to call it. Choke.

They collapsed in the fourth quarter no? Thats a choke I think.

Yeah, but they went into the game as the underdog. Had they been 10 pt favorites and then choked in the 4th I would agree. They were beaten by a better team.

Agree with this. Is also the reason you don't see us making excuses, complaining about bogus crap. Just straight up lost to a better team that day and they played as hard as they could have, if not as smart sometimes.

You keep using this and discounting the fact that Florida was a double digit favorite.

If I wanted to use your spin maching I could say that Bama fought back in the 3rd quarter but ran out of gas in the 4th.

I think it's obvious to most the best team won, regardless of how they did it.

Congrats to UF and LSU fans for their win last Saturday.

Well Alabama was better than them for three quarters, then that forth quarter happened.

Must not have watched the same game. Lead changed a couple of times. Seriously, go have a jolt cola, you are off your flame game today.

Biggest chokers in SEC Championship game history
I will rate them like this:

1. 2008 Bama. First #1 ranked SEC team to lose in championship game and lose shot at national.

Just how does a 9.5pt underdog choke?

I am not flaming. Its a legitimate thread. I included LSU 2005 on the list. Its an interesting thread. Did Alabama ever upset a good favored Florida team in the championship game?

Rollie, you are way wrong on this one.

Bama is not nearly as talented as Fla, overachieved all year, won some close games where they held on for dear life(UGA, Ky, UM) after playing their usual show up early and lay the wood for huge early leads. Went to OT with a mediocre LSU team that didn't even play a super-crisp game,etc..

That they were unbeaten as young, and mostly returning mediocrity-era players, is the story.

Sure, Bama wilted a tad down the stretch, but that is what Fla does to everyone, sooner or later they have you tired, and keep rotating in and out all those WRs and TEs, Tebow's scampers and will-power takes over, they hit a back-breaker or two.

How Florida ever lost a game is equally surprising, they sleptwalked that morning vs Ole Miss, and got bit down the stretch, I watched it.

Once UF beats OU 47-34, folks will be wondering how is it they ever lost a game.

By having a lead in the third quarter and control of the game, and then completely collapsing in the final stanza. Losing everything.

3. LSU 2005 losing to Georgia. First year coach, schedule changes due to hurricane Katrina, and the chaos that storm created probably keeps them at the bottom of this list though.

...and the dog ate the playbook, right? Choke on my johnson.

so when the number 1 team lost, it was expected because of a gambling line? Now I am really confused.

You keep calling it a choke. You're just being a dickhead. Alabama was beaten by a better team. A Lack of depth for us translated directly into a victory for Florida. We're fixing that problem. See you next year at Bryant Denny. Pack a lunch.
