Yup. Only explanation: cheating.

It's a pride thing. It's easier to say, "WE WAS ROBBED!!" than to say, "Well, they whipped our arse."

Yes, and how convenient for him.... highly suspicious to say the least.

Haven't you ever noticed?

If your rival wins, they were cheating, they just didn't get caught. (especially if they beat your team by 21+)

If YOU get caught cheating, "Everybody cheats."

If your rival DOES get caught cheating, it's par for the course and they should get the death penalty.

That pretty much sums it up.

I also like the arguments about levels of cheating, like "my booster only paid $10,000, your booster paid $180,000!" (I don't know if it has shown up in this thread, but I've seen it before). I don't think much is keeping you from paying six figures as well if necessary and if you had that kind of money.

Well, I think there are sometimes individual circumstances where levels of cheating should be taken into consideration, but they are few and far between.

Nevin Shapiro is a good example of this. He took it so far beyond the pale that an exception should be made.

If Bryant was a cheater, he was the best, because he got away with it for 20 years. I just don't think you can be a flagrant cheater and get away with it for that long.

The one who hasn't been mentioned here is Dubose. Wasn't he arm in arm with Logan? Didn't he stay with Logan? Wasn't he up to his neck in the Logan/Means mess?

No, he was just too stupid to see what was going on under his nose. He was, however, "arm-in-arm" with his secretary...
