if it wasn't for their mascot, I would something with alligators, but it just seems too much like The Tiger Rag. We better not ever go on a losing streak like that though(again)

something Gulf Coast related for A&M/LSU would be good.

A&M/Arky could be the SWC Memorial trophy.

considering the best name couldn't be used for PC purposes, how about "Vick dog treatment"?
Can't use Shelties in that one.(or Collies)

I know it won't happen, but I still prefer a 10 game SEC schedule. I like playing UF every year, and think a game in FL every other year is good for recruiting. But I would like to play the rest of the East more often as well.

I totally support a 9 or 10 game schedule with one permanent opponent as well. The only reason this won't happen, much like with the B1G, is teams demanding 7 or 8 home games every year, and having a big time OOC opponent that always plays a home and home, and a neutral site game(I'm looking at you, Gators and Dawgs). Hopefully once the SEC Network gets rolling, and we can get actual numbers and figures behind our games moving forward, and know the value for it precisely, it will be far more valuable for the Floridas and Georgias to play the Alabamas and Texas A&Ms every other year than it would be to play the double directional schools every year.

Because he is implying that we can move Auburn to the East, have them as a permanent cross division game against Alabama and let everyone else have no permanent rivals. This would allow Mizzou to move to the West and allow everyone to play the opposite division schools more often.

This.

LSU should go to the Big. They could still be considered a top team and not be afraid to play most any team in the conference.

9 game schedule is the future. It is gonna happen, but it is a process.

What needs to happen is the SEC Network needs to launch, and the bowl standard will need to increase to 7 games with some bowls dying off. This will happen during this playoff age as no one will give a shite about bowls anymore.

Once the Miss States of the world realize that they can't limp to a bowl easily anymore, and its actually a bigger deal just to get on the SEC Network during the season, then 9 games will go through.

Let's be real here. If Florida hadn't been consistently good for the past 20 years LSU wouldn't have as much of a problem with the permanent opponent.

On the flip side, if Tennessee's decline into UK/Vandy territory hadn't happened, I sincerely doubt there would be so many Bama fans adamant about preserving that rivalry.
