the Voodoo Bowl.
Wish we could call the Sheltie game The Gulf War.
P.S. no offense to any service members

Sacrifice former SEC head coaches who failed. Now we are talking.

I would like it but UF might consider that too LSU centric. "Who's got the biggest Gator" would be a TV hit at the show-n-tell.

re: LSU/Florida trophy
Battle for the Spanish Crown. The actual trophy is a golden replica of this, with moss hanging off the crown.
Louisiana doesn't have a whole lot of Spanish heritage, but it's there; the Florida Parishes, the closest thing to a shared heritage between the states, were formerly known as West Florida under Spanish rule. The moss is a symbol of the swamp, the biome most closely related with Louisiana and with the University of Florida.

Oh yeah. What if that Indian came out on a horse and put a javeline right through a live alligators head. Reckon Doak-Campbell would come alive?

but actually I was thinking of the Baron Samedi dance, without a sacrifice involved. He could be waving the voodoo doll trophy around and give it over postgame.
Might not go over too well for some of the church-going folk, though....

Draconian is mad because this thread didn't turn into a "flame Alabama" fest.

Hell, just laughing about some of the voodoo silliness, LSU SHOULD put some of that crazy shite in. It's more in character with what our fanbase was, before we got all angry and shite.

Well, we have a list that ties the two regions:
Cypress, Spanish Moss, marsh/swamp, old European influence, voodoo (more LSU on this), alligators...need a planning committee...and a case of moonpies.
