No Oklahoma fan that I know wants to move the RRS to Jerry World.
In 2007, Joe Castiglione did.

Both schools leveraged Jerry World some years ago to get upgrades at Cotton Bowl but were never going to move.
Hey, you say it was a "bluff", but bluff or not, in 2007 it was stated by Joe Castiglione that he would prefer to take it to Jerry World.
Dodds response was we would go home and home before going to Jerry World.
Laura Miller (Dallas mayor at the time) spent some money and spruced up the Cotton Bowl, so you got that part right.

I don't think the grandstanding here was about the sponsorship. I think Aggie and Longhorn AD's are sending a signal.
This may not end well for the SEC.
Eventually, I see Alabama becoming the Washington Generals for the Texas goliaths.
Mere stage props.

Archibald/Rancho/Xwing - you are entirely too stupid to have gone to Texas. I was being nice by giving you a JUCO equivalent education

Lol…that’s another Texas myth. Take the entire Texas freshman class…take the same top number from A&M…we are right there with ya. We have way more national merit scholars than Texas does…we just use our share of the same money you liberal idiots have to educate more Texas kids than you do. A&M educates more Texas kids, y’all just produce more egocentric socialists. Lol

What a self-own

A&M educates more Texas kids, because we have no choice but to admit most of your rejects
What is the acceptance rate at a&m? Like 65%?

Gonna be a whole lot more than $2 million per year.

If they were smart the announcement would be to combine programs in an effort to finally dominate Oklahoma. Still wouldn't happen but it would be smart.

We only work together when money is involved.

It's a shame you didn't pool your $$ for a 5 Star OT yesterday then

Late to this thread, but good Christ this is some highly enriched weapons grade stupidity quoted here. Literally no one on either side wants either of these things. Retire this alt, your cover's blown.

It’s a system they are putting in place.
It’s like a bounty system. They are paying us to collect points and cash them it at year end. It’s crazy. Looks like we are getting fat checks just to play each other. Check gets deposited at kickoff probably.
quote:
The sponsorship entails more than just the renewal of the football game, which will resume in Kyle Field on Nov. 30, but encompasses every sport that will square off between the programs. There will be some kind of points system developed to keep track of wins between the programs and a champion will be crowned at the end of the academic year, Alberts said, similar to the previous iteration of the Showdown that was sponsored by State Farm. In the old system, a team was awarded one point for a win in a head-to-head matchup and ½ a point for a tie. The winner of a three game baseball series received one point and sports that had two meetings between the programs valued each game as ½ of a point.

The fact our ADs are doing paid appearances for NIL Sponsorships is kinda sad. Where is our schools’ dignities??
