For instance here is the answer to a trivia question: Mack Brown and Phil Fulmer.
The question? Who are the only 2 coaches to win a BCS Title that had not won their first one within the first 3 years of getting their job.
Your list is incomplete.
Bobby Bowden won the MNC in 1993 and the BCS title in 1999. Took over WAY before then.
Nick Saban won at LSU in year 4, as did Pete Carroll.
But if we're just counting BCS titles:
1998 - Fulmer (year 7)
1999 - Bowden (year 24)
2000 - Stoops (year 2)
2001 - Coker (year 1)
2002 - Tressell (year 2)
2003 - Saban (year 4)
*2004 - Carroll (year 4)
2005 - Brown (year 8)
2006 - Meyer (year 2)
2007 - Miles (year 3)
2008 - Meyer (year 4)
2009 - Saban (year 3)
2010 - Chizik (year 2)
2011 - Saban (year 5)
2012 - Saban (year 6)

Let me go ahead and shred this moron's argument about A&M point by point:
Texas was reeling in 2010, not in 2011. Texas had a better 2011 season than A&M did.
All they needed was a winning season.
Mike Sherman didn't have a single top 15 class, let alone top 10. Dennis Franchione had a top 10 class in 2003 and 2005 and parlayed them into shitty results. When Mike Sherman first took over, A&M only had 4 returning scholarship offensive linemen.
The reason Mike Sherman was fired was because, in addition to the fact that he publicly criticized A&M's decision to move to the SEC, out of A&M's six losses in 2011, and even in two of their wins, they fell completely apart in the second half.
-Led Oklahoma State 20-3 at half, lost 30-29.
-Led Arkansas 35-17 at half, lost 42-38.
-Led Texas Tech 31-20 at half, won 45-40.
-Led Missouri 28-17 after 3, lost 38-31.
-Trailed Oklahoma 13-10 at half, 41-10 after 3.
-Led Kansas State 34-24 with 5 minutes left in the game, lost 53-51.
-Led Texas 16-7 at half. Lost 27-25.
-Led Northwestern 30-7 in the fourth. Won 33-22.
Sumlin was not a Bob Stoops disciple, he was a Joe Tiller disciple. He had already been a wide receiver coach at Purdue and A&M, and an offensive coordinator at A&M prior to going to Oklahoma. Of the coordinators he had as a head coach, FOUR are head coaches (Kliff Kingsbury, Brian Polian, Dana Holgorson, Andy Levine). One of those coaches is unbeaten.
Completely intellectually dishonest analysis by the author. Sumlin was hired because of his ties to Texas high schools, his ability to recruit through his staff, and his personality. To chalk up the 2012 season solely to Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans completely disregards the performances and the talent across the team completely wasted by Mike Sherman's bad coaching.
Something he's leaving out? Perhaps the fact that A&M is 8-0 on the road in the SEC since joining the conference, with LSU and Missouri ON THE ROAD?
Does he need one? If the 2014 Offense is 70% as effective as the 2013 offense (32-35 points per game as opposed to 47) but the defense holds opponents to 20 points per game instead of 35 points per game, that's an increase in wins.
Bob Stoops appeared in the 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2008 National Title games.
If Kevin Sumlin appears in 4 playoff title games and only wins 1...that's still a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Consider a final spread coach. Texas A&M needed a quick fix. Texas was reeling and the Aggies needed to make a move to assert themselves.
Texas was reeling in 2010, not in 2011. Texas had a better 2011 season than A&M did.

They were moving to the SEC and needed a good first impression to maintain recruiting and support in the state.
All they needed was a winning season.

A number of consecutive top 10 recruiting classes under Mike Sherman were going to waste with a 7-6 team in 2011.

It’s very obvious they were going for the quick fix, and boy did they get it. They got Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans out of nowhere. They took the conference by storm.

But the good news ends there. The Aggies lost at home to Auburn over the weekend to drop their SEC home record to 3-4 since joining the conference. They’ve already lost two games this season, with LSU and Missouri still on the schedule.
Something he's leaving out? Perhaps the fact that A&M is 8-0 on the road in the SEC since joining the conference, with LSU and Missouri ON THE ROAD?

Worse yet, Manziel and Evans are likely gone to the NFL at year’s end. Does anyone honestly think that Sumlin will ever have another player of Manziel’s caliber?
Does he need one? If the 2014 Offense is 70% as effective as the 2013 offense (32-35 points per game as opposed to 47) but the defense holds opponents to 20 points per game instead of 35 points per game, that's an increase in wins.

Has he peaked already, just like his mentor Stoops did? If so, it’s not good news for the Aggies, who despite their success have yet to sniff an SEC West title.
Bob Stoops appeared in the 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2008 National Title games.
If Kevin Sumlin appears in 4 playoff title games and only wins 1...that's still a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Where does this spread=quick fix BS come from? And there are so many types of spread offenses that you couldn't possibly classify them all as the same.
