hmmm, not that closely. I know that Arkansas has been at or near the bottom of the SEC in terms of recruiting since the day he stepped on campus.

Has that changed recently?

you realize he had two months to recruit (after a lame duck coach and train wreck season) and managed to get a top 25 recruiting class?

I think he will do great. I think he will win all the games he is supposed to this year and if he gets one upset he will be fine. I think that people don't understand how bad the coaching was at ARK and the hogs have lots of guys that can play. I see him being a very good SEC recruiter and a threat to LSU and Bama in the west sooner than people think.

He'll win 8 games per year, making him a subject of Razorback lore.

Since 1960:
Arkansas
8+ wins = 30
10+ wins= 12
Losing seasons = 10

Texas A&M
8+ wins = 21
10+ wins= 9
Losing seasons = 20

Know your role Aggie.

Didn't he land a bunch of guys nobody really wanted?

I mean, Miami was the primary competition for your heralded 5 star.

Just not very impressed. He's certainly nothing like Sumlin (nb4conferencetitles; nb4rosebowls).

you act like he's been here 10 years or something.

he's had one short lived chance so far at recruiting here and given the circumstances he did great.

If he can get the same type of OLine guys he got at Wisconsin

1) People frequently overstate the oline talent up there. They only have like 3 linemen playing in the NFL right now.

2) All of those guys are from the midwest - Wisconsin or Illinois.

He had to have burned some bridges in LA because of the offers he pulled which isn't good for Arky.

according to the UW website they have 7 OL in the NFL (and 4 TE's), not too shabby.

also talent is better in Arkansas and the south than WI or IL, so he'll pull even better talent.

According to ESPN's "NFL players by college" database, they currently have 9 on NFL rosters.

I can't imagine that there is many more schools in the country with more. For comparison, Alabama only has 7.

Half of our current commits are 5.9 4 stars on Rivals for what that's worth... We don't have a ton of commits right now which may be worrying to some, but as summer wears on we will up that number in a hurry. I'm not worried about recruiting yet, I think our skill position will be as good or a bit better than under Petrino but our line recruiting will be much better. It is insane the number of offensive linemen we have signed the last few years that just didn't pan out (nagging injury, grades, and crime have all taken their toll), if you take those guys out of our Petrino recruiting years we drop from the bottom third most years to damned near last place every year.

Texas and aTm only have so many spots left and I think our Texas recruiting will surge in a hurry when that happens...
