according to the link posted earlier, Drew, the one going to LSU, is the 99th ranked player nationally, and Ben, the younger one, is ranked 500th in his class

Isn't Drew the youngest? That's who committed to LSU.

Good for Mike. Daddy ball has so many issues.

Kid is a 190lb sophomore SS with 6 homers. He's going to be nasty, just hope he keeps his agility with that size.
fyi, when players from Oxford go elsewhere this is the excuse, but when AJ Brown left Starkville it was because OM is so great this and that. Just sayin...

AJ's dad doesn't coach at state. Bianco has specifically said he did not want his sons to play for him.

Damn, Butch can fire his DC and the DC's son who is a walkon is still on the team. It must suck to be in Oxford.

Ben is not the younger one. Ben is a junior, Drew is a sophomore.
Sources - They're great friends of mine and I played ball with them.

Didn't Drew play as a Fr last year and Ben didn't play very much at all?

well, i just took "the younger one won't go to ole miss either" as Drew being the older one, since he has already committed to LSU

I wouldnt want to play for my dad either Honestly wouldn't surprise me if Ben Miles went to Nebraska or somewhere other than LSU.
This is what it all boils down to. I really don't see it as a knock against Bianco or his program. Just the kid wanting to get away from his dad and stand on his own.

No sir. Drew was hurt for a few games early in the season because he messed up his hip in our Spring Jamboree game. He came back like 7 or 8 games into the season, and from then on didn't leave the starting lineup, playing 2nd base. As for Ben - We had two catchers (Ben and Jack McClure). Jack was our game 1 catcher, Ben usually caught game 2. Even if Ben didn't catch, he was in the hitting lineup, usually no lower than fourth or fifth, sometimes playing first base if he was needed. He blasted a 2 run homerun in the bottom of the 7th inning to win the first game of the North Half title last spring.
Both of them are very, very good.

If not for Ole Miss, Memphis would not have a football program. Hate the hand that has fed you. I feel sorry for you.

Set UP!
He is going to announce that he took money from LSU coaches during the MLB draft.
All 7 people that watch the MLB draft will be in shock.

And now with no Ole Miss this is going to work out perfectly for Memphis football.
1) Join the Big XII
2) Takeover football recruits for North MS that Ole Miss would have normally gotten (Panola etc)
3) Profit
I'll tell Memphis' president to send a bottle of champagne to Laremy Tunsil

Drew is the younger one. I was thinking it was the older one who committed.

Larry you might not want to get your hopes up. How many times has Memphis said they are going to try and get into a big conference? Last time they found a better conference all the good members of that conference left. Memphis had a good argument with Cal in being attractive to a conference looking for a good basketball school, but the Memphis basketball program is garbage right now since they're essentially letting an AAU coach run things since his sons are the only players Memphis has. Football program had a great run last year due to Paxton and Fuente, but both are gone.
