I am a Georgia fan but I don’t get Newman’s hype. He is one of top five favorites to win heisman. Make me a believer. I want to buy in

He's more physically talented than Fromm, but so are most QBs starting for the top teams. I'm not on the Newman train yet, but I think he has potential with out new OC.

Bryant went from talent all over the place to Mizzou.

Newman is coming to the exact opposite.

He wasn't exactly hot shite at Clemson either. He was very inconsistent and had poor accuracy. I think Newman will be better than Bryant.

due to the system he will be in, we will never know how good he is. i'd say those two are a wash

He is really good vs really bad teams. Especially at throwing it up in the air for 50-50 balls.

Giving receivers a chance is something Fromm struggled with. George Pickens needs a steady diet of 50/50 balls

Prolly ought to wait to see Newman take a SEC snap.

Not saying Newman is can't miss, but he does throw a deep ball better than Fromm and throws most passes better then Bryant.

Plus his running ability gives him at least a chance to still be highly effective in this preparation bereft season.

Wake had the worst roster in the ACC in 2019. They also had one of the worst offensive lines in the country. This season he will face exactly zero teams with a significant talent advantage over Georgia.

You really don't want a steady diet of 50/50 balls. If 20% of those 50/50 balls go to the other team, you'll be screaming for the backup. Precision route running from Pickens is the better strategy.

FTR, I believe Pickens is one of the most gifted overall players in the SEC.

Not really. Most of us feel the same. I mean, we have a lot of hope with the new offense. Don't be fooled by 2-3 trolls on here.

I would argue that Fromm was hampered by inexperienced receivers making poor decisions. He did well with a healthy Cager and after Pickens got more experience....but Cager stayed injured a good bit.

A lot of pressure for a kid coming from Wake. Hope it's fair but the defensive competition will be vastly more difficult, and especially more consistent. Picks could be an issue.

Kelly Bryant was way overhyped, he was an average QB, even at Clemson.

His junior year he had 13 TD passes in 14 games and posted a 132 QB Rating which is very mediocre, that's with CLEMSON talent around him too. It's not like he was an elite runner either to make up for that. Everyone saw the limitations on a national stage when Bama killed them in the playoff because they couldnt do anything on offense due to Bryant being so limited. They knew then they had to move on from him at QB or they wouldnt win it all.

He improved slightly at Missouri but missed the toughest game on the schedule at UGA and outside of Florida (who shut down their offense to the tune of 2 FGs) literally played nobody all season long:

Wyoming
West Virginia
SE Mo. State
South Carolina
Troy
Ole Miss
Vandy
Kentucky
Tennesseee

Good lord

Nope. KB had a ton of talent last year. If you compared our team last year to how young Clemson's was during Bryant's full year as a starter, at least from the offensive side, Mizzous was better.

Coaching absolutely failed this project. So glad Odoms gone.
