That comparing scoring offenses is dumb.

I'll take Sumlin. He has more than 3 plays at his disposal.

Auburn scored 24 against Miss State then TAMU scored 51 against them.

What's your point?

Sumlin scoring more with supposedly the best QB in A&M history in week 10, year 2, than Gus did with a transfer only on the team for 2 months, in game 3, isn't impressive.

If you'd gave Sumlin Marshall he probably wouldn't have made it to a bowl.

Sumlin's 2012 O was the best of all time.

you have go to be a dumb-arse or trolling. Malzahn made it to the NC game with a DB and 5 plays.

People forget we led the SEC in rushing in 2012 and were 11th in the country. The balance we had was ridiculous

Has Sumlin ever had even a decent defense?.....ever?

Because I'm pretty sure he is used to having 100+ ranked defenses. Until that changes he will never win anything.

Answer- Gus

Can we just call it a tie already? They are both damned good.

Your QB scrambling for 1,400 yards kinda helped that. We will see exactly how balanced you'll be when you have, essentially, a statue back there.

Tamu did have a better scoring offense than Auburn last year.
Only due to OOC games.

Auburn and TAMU had the same scoring offense in SEC games. Auburn led the SEC in scoring vs ranked opponents.

So we didn't run designed QB runs or bootlegs that took advantage of his athleticism?

Gus all the way. Sumlin has to prove that he can actually coach and not just let Johnny run wild.

Are you refuting that a TON of JM's runs were scrambles on passing plays?

You don't know that though. It's too soon to judge. Both have looked good at Offense early in their Head Coaching careers. Time will tell.
