Yep,Ed dominoed last year, much like Chizik did.

Or Nolan in basketball years ago.

It's fun and wonderful and such, but is it a long term deal?

Not likely.Enjoy the moment.

Chizik's first three seasons:

8-5
14-0
8-5

O's first three seasons:

9-4
10-3
15-0

Where are the similarities?

Tell us more about the utopia of Georgia, sporting the most ghetto shithole of a major city in the entire country. Atlanta makes New Orleans look like Tokyo. The only culture to come out of Atlanta is Gucci Mane, Magic City, and Jeezy. Your state is an embarrassment too, dumbass

Actually I've had plenty of enjoyment from being a Hog fan.

I would hope that this one year isn't all you've got.

But it is.

Damn shame.

Both of them rode a Heisman trophy winner to a national title so they have that in common.

Jimbo had a great run at Florida State until the wheels suddenly came off. He's been there are at A&M but there should be some concern that when the bottom of the SEC West is down... and it is way down right now... the Aggies don't appear to have gained any ground on the top of the division. Sooner or later teams like Arkansas and Ole Miss are going to bounce back. The window of opportunity looks like it might be closing on him.

Coach O was a tremendous recruiter... and a game day coach disaster at Ole Miss. He really set the table for Houston Nutt to step in and have a great first two years. He did surprisingly well at a USC team that most expected to fold up after Lane's firing.

O still seems to be learning the ropes and that is not a bad thing. Early in his tenure he interfered with the game day coaching more often, usually with not desirable results. Now he's stepped back and let his assistants do their jobs while he handles the big picture stuff.

Over the entire course of their career... Jimbo gets the nod. He really did have an amazing run at FSU and that should not be ignored.

As of right now though, Coach O is the better HC and it isn't particularly close. He is more willing to adapt, he's got fire in his belly, and he's still an ace recruiter. Fisher looks like he's taking that last walk to the electric chair.

Lol. Here we go. Bama fans just can't stand what o is doing at LSU. Any chance they get to try and downplay or discredit what he's done here and they'll take it. What a sad bunch of losers

They were convinced Smart and UGA were going to be the conference behemoth that was going to dethrone them. Meanwhile, a guy from the bayou with a binder was busy building an empire on the banks of the Mississippi...

Now lets name everyone else who has also done this. Saban and Carroll come to mind off the top of my head.

Weird how Jameis got worse the longer he was at Florida State yet Burrow took the biggest jump ever seen from any college player from his first to second season at LSU.

Ya know, facts and shite.
