Me either, but a lot of Arky fans think they're a destination or premier job in the SEC because one retard from the B1G made a lateral move due to bickering with his old AD.

Who was the last coach to leave Arkansas for a "Destination" job that wasn't fired?

You'll have to go back before the 1950's. Good luck digging.

Yes.

Arkansas and Tennessee have both put the same number of players from each states high schools into the NFL since 2005.

Go argue with USA Today NFL database.

UT is a national brand and has alot of tradition and history. Second winningest program in the SEC, historically. They are one good hire away from being a top 10 team most years. Arkansas has some potential, but they don't have the national brand and history to fall back on like the Vols.

+1

Tennessee is a national brand, has been for decades and that will continue.

Arky, not so much.

link?

Which college football program produced most NFL talent in the last 20 years? Tennessee is #3 in the nation and #1 in the SEC.

LINK

247 State of Tennessee 5* and 8 4*, 51 TN players rated by 247

247 State of Arkansas 3 4* and only 11 AR players rated by 247

Can I get boom?

No. You are grading on POTENTIAL. I'm grading on RESULTS.

LINK

Each State's High School Talent to the NFL

Arkansas 18 NFL players since 2005
Tennessee 20 NFL players since 2005

Arkansas = Tennessee talent once again. You can get average players from any neighboring state.

I guess the better question is this: If saban coached Arky for 5 years and UT for 5 years, who would have better results?

why did you arbitrarily select 2005? go back several more years and UT has nearly the double of AR.

and here is the data just in case you missed it. TN will always produce 2X, 3X more talent than AR. AR will always produce talent comparable KY. FACT

247 State of Tennessee 5* and 8 4*, 51 TN players rated by 247

247 Kentucky 5* and 2 4* and 8 players rated

247 State of Arkansas 3 4* and only 11 AR players rated by 247

Because this board is all about arbitrary dates.

Called Seven on Seven and merging of bubble school districts.

Only if that mattered.

Lets try this again..

Not potential players a website deemed a certain star. How about the NFL who they actually drafted!

You're using a recruiting website, players yet to play in college, while I am using the NFL!

Go ahead and do 2008-2012 which shows more kids from Arkansas high schools in the NFL than kids from Tennessee high schools.

Arkansas = Tennessee.

Here is the real sad part.

Tennessee's population 6 Million while Arkansas has 3 Million and we produce the same talent pool.

Maryland, Virginia and DC? That's pretty regional.

If you look at the current (2014) class commitments...

UT has commits from: TN, AL, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, OH, TX and VA.

Arkansas has commits from: AR, TX and MO.

The one Arkansas recruit from Texas is from just over 300 miles away from Fayetteville. The one from Missouri is from 170 miles away from Fayetteville. Arkansas' class is much more regional than UT's.

When was the last time TN won double digit games in back to back years? What about other SEC schools besides LSU or Bama?

Arky just did it before Johnelle.

read the title of the thread. we're talking about recruiting base here which means recruiting high school talent. 4 years of player development and getting drafted to the NFL is a whole nother story.

okay, but you want to use the NFL? here you go.

Because its easier for him to make an argument during our programs historically worst stretch than any other time period.

We are talking Petrino vs chaos at UT.
