For LSU I would have to go with 2006. For whatever reason they couldn't put it together, I felt like that team should have been competing for a national title, but fell out of the picture after an early loss to Auburn.

Haha I think Michigan State fans would disagree. The comments they had after that shellacking were epic.

You're talking about 2010. I'm talking about 2011. Last season. When we lost one game in OT in the regular season, but won the NC against the same team.

That thread does bring up a very good question. How many teams have punted on 4th and goal?

I doubt they have kept track of that in stats. Although they have stats for everything these days. I am sure it has happened at least once before.

I've never understood why LSU fans remember their 2006 team so fondly. They lost two games, and, if I remember correctly, had several other close games.

I understand that they may have been talented, but lots of super-talented teams underachieve - just look at any USC team from 2005 to 2008 for an example.

LSU fans suggesting that their 2006 team was better than their 2003 or 2011 teams are crazy.

As a Bama fan, I understand reading may be hard. I said, "Best Team to NOT win an SEC title". Clearly if you could read you would notice both 2003 and 2011 did that right?

Almost as hard as resisting the natural impulse to poison every tree I see. Thanks for your understanding.

You are a fricking moron. Can you not grasp the subtleties of the English language? LSU fans have repeatedly talked about their 2006 team being better than other teams that actually won shite. Hence, I used the plural word "fans" and the plural verb "are" - along with the progressive verb "suggesting" - to indicate that it is a habitual action and common misconception.

You, however, are uncommonly stupid.

2001 (9/11 Postponement and lost to Tennessee a week before SECCG) and 2009 (ranked number 1 all year undefeated battle with Bama and got stomped aka Urban Chest pain game, returned tons of players from 08 championship team)

Yes, you are dumb. Also lol at your previous insult thrown at Alabama fans' intelligence. Did you by chance see the latest USNWR rankings? Where LSU once again ranked near the bottom of the SEC? So please, continue being unjustifiably proud of your degree. I'll continue laughing at you.
