Int's are great but it's not what DB's are judged at. Anthony Zenon was a INT machine but wasn't that great of a corner. The truth is QB's are avoiding him in games for the most part.

Physically he is the best, but he is over aggressive and can be beat easily with a pump fake or a double move.

As far as physical ability he is unmatched, he and Julio are of the same caliber. Both physical freaks that still have work to do, but you know they will both be the best eventually.

PP's great, even when he gets beat he's phenomenal at inadvertently tripping the receiver.

fwiw I think Arkansas has some good receivers and I don't ever flame Arkansas as they're my second favorite conference team but it is a bit funny that Julio's drops problem has been brought up in a thread about Arkansas receivers.

Is that uncommon for a predominantly passing team?

395 rushes, 439 passes

47.4% rushing, 52.6% passing

Looks pretty balanced to me.

That play from thee Georgia game happened because he didn't know what the coverage was, not because he bit or anything like that

I really like Arkansas' WR corp. I mean, how can't you like this?

Greg Childs, 6'3, 217
Joe Adams, 6'0, 180
Jarius Wright, 5'11, 180
DJ Williams, 6'2, 251

Good mix of big and fast. If they can catch consistently, they are easily one of the best units in the country.

no worse than the loser bama fans proclaiming the same for jones

I agree, Julio has been very inconsistent. But I don't see Bama fans saying that Julio is the best reciever alive. Patrick Peterson was not even the best DB on his team last year, yet some claim he is better than Champ Bailey or Deion Sanders.

Julio and Peterson are equal in physical gifts. They both have not been able to turn those gifts into as much production as one would hope for.

I think people are expecting Crabtree like numbers from Julio and for Peterson to play better than Reeves from the jets.

They both were 19yr old true sophs. They have only begin to tap into their potential.

I think if the LSU DB coach were better and if Bama had a better QB(suckelroy) and WR coach they could both be the best in the game.

Don't forget the 6' 3" Cobi Hamilton. Petrino has stated frequently that he may be the most talented of the group.

2 INT. 1 against Bama and 1 against LSU.

Record. 0-4.

220 yards passing a game isn't any good when you throw the ball 50 times.

exactly, it's when they don't throw to your side you know you are doing your job well. I never said he is all world like some of you are sayin, but he could be this year if he has learned from his mistakes, he now knows he must play everyone like he played Jones and Green, and not take plays off or be overaggressive and bite on pumps looking for the INT.

the guy is a physical freak just like Jones, and outright blankets receivers when on his game, experience only makes him better and more dangerous.

More like AJ Green type production. Green attacks the ball, catches with his hands, and muscles his way when he has to. Both can....they just haven't done it yet.

Mallett has to stop throwing the ball in the ground or overthrowing by 10 yards. Jones has to make the catches that build McElroy's confidence in him.

If they do, it will be fun to watch.

What about the three times during the season he was thrown at and burned for deep touchdowns? Do they count?

I just said in the same post when he stops being aggressive and biting on pumps, he will dominate, did you not see that?

We averaged 33 passes a game, fyi

I don't know why people think that all we do is pass. 47.6% rushing, 52.4% passing is balanced.
