No one else in the nation agrees or even gives a shite about Bryant-Denny.
My brother and sister go to UT-Austin. If I asked them to give me the name of Alabama's stadium, they would not know it.
That said, Alabama has a beautiful stadium, certainly one of the finest in the country. I actually think pure looks-wise, Bama's is probably the prettiest in the SEC (I actually love the lined lighting and the circular ramps at each corner). But as far as history and tradition and atmosphere and culture for the stadium itself, BD just doesn't have it in terms of national perception.
ETA: I know this thread is about the West schools, but this got me thinking about the worst stadium in the SEC ... aside from Vandy, I'd have to go with Tennessee. That thing is a piece of crap. It's like a 100,000 seat high school stadium.

Can we please get an Arkansas fan to post pictures of their stadium to compare to Bryant Denny. I have been to Arkansas' stadium twice. Very nice stadium. Bryant Denny is better. I've posted pictures. Where are the Arkansas pictures? There's only been one guy post any pictures of Arkansas' facilities, and there were only a couple of pictures of the stadium... give us some stadium pics, or stop talking shite.

These are just exterior photos. What is not being shown is luxury boxes, over 15 thousand indoor "club" seats, museums and restaurants within the concourses, theater quality sound in every section, on and on...... Additionally, the entire south endzone is chairback and/or indoor club seating.
The knock on Razorback Stadium is the deafening crowd silence and it only seats 72k. Regardless, it is about as technologically advanced as they come and the amenities are over the top.

but as far as the campuses are concerned, LSU's is heads and shoulders more beautiful than the other campuses with the oak trees, the lake, etc.
Wow. There have been some homer comments on this thread (Bama fans included of course), but this takes the cake. I have only been to 5 SEC campuses, and of those five LSU's takes fifth place. It is nice but compared to some others LSU is a dump.

Bitch, please. I have relatives and friends from the west coast and the northeast, again not in tune with any SEC dick-measuring contest, and all of them were very impressed by LSU's campus. Is it the greatest in the SEC? I have no idea. But don't act like it's ugly, because it isn't. Baton Rouge is ugly. The LSU campus is not.

3)Bama fans are the most delusional group of people in the world. Most of their facilities are ho-hum or on par with the middle of the pack SEC teams, at best. Their football stadium is large, and nice, but they are too prideful and/or delusional to recognize that there just might be a team out there with a "nicer" stadium, even though smaller.
THERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR TINY STADIUM.
Maybe its "cute" in that small Ole Miss, MSU, Vandy kind of way, but that's about it.
I've asked before- What is so f'ing special about Razorback stadium? I recognize that you have better facilities for the other sports, but the football stadium is not one of them.

You seem to be in the minority here, and for good reason. Your crimson-colored coke bottle glasses make you unable to see.
I've been to each campus in the SEC. LSU's si unique in that it's the only one where red brick isn't the defining feature.
Aesthetically, the trees, the lakes, and the river nearby compliment the northern Italian architecture nicely.
If I have a complaint, it's that the campus doesn't do enough to take advantage of it's river setting.

Being unique does not make it the best. I've complimented LSU's architecture- it's very different that what you see at most of the old southern SEC schools. But your points about oak trees and rivers are moot- just about every SEC school is packed full of oaks and many of them sit beside rivers.
But being different does not = being the best. When the discussion of prettiest campus in the SEC comes up, I've always heard Ole Miss. I've been to OM before, and it is a carbon copy of UA and UGA so I'm not sure what to think about it really.

The only time anything associated with the University of Alabama is brought up as being the best in the country is by fans of the University of Alabama.
Spin all you like, in as many posts as you like, but the point stands and you know it, and the same cannot be said for LSU, Florida, or even Tennessee.

Why do you have such a problem with opinions Emporer? Quit being a baby.

I said our stadium was the most modern in the SEC, because it is. If you don't agree, then fine!
You are an LSU fan. I don't expect you to agree.

after having gone back and reading all of the responses, and multiple people laughing at my statement about the Taj Mahal of football stadiums...
i was only saying what i heard from one of last year's nationally televised games from one of the tv announcers.
anyway, i SAID i wasn't sure about how some other stadiums compared. i've never been to an away game, just loads of home games since i grew up and still live in Tuscaloosa.

LSU's is old and loud.
Ark's is new and small.
Bama's is new and big.
These are the only 3 fanbases that seem to have an issue with each other.

i went to a braves game at turner field sometime last year and realized how advanced stadiums SHOULD be. that place was freaking BAD. i wish BD would be like that.. i would definitely be a season ticket holder.

I know it's over stating the case a bit, but with respect, when you've seen one red brick campus, you've seen them all.

I've been to LSU's campus, and I really liked it, however I really really really like our campus. Our quad is just lovely, and the some of the buildings are really amazing.

Before I decided to go to UT, I toured several schools in the southeast, Alabama being one of them. I won't say that the campus was ugly, because it was actually very nice. However, it failed to live up to all of the hype I'd heard. I felt the same way about Ole Miss the first time I visited Oxford. In my opinion, the 2 nicest campuses (I didn't say football stadiums) in the SEC are LSU and UGA. I've brought several of my friends from Austin to games in BR and every single one commented on how beautiful LSU's campus is.

tulane would win this conversation if we were still in the SEC. fogelman arena and the superdome trump all
