With his reputation developi g players,NFL experience, recruiting monster he's been & coaching staffs he can assemble I believe he could've won SEC Championships at any of the schools except Vandy.I think he could've won a Natty at most but not all.But we'll never know. He's not the only one though.Meyer,Spurrier & Pat Dye were great program builders to.

maybe, maybe not. These coach/program relationships are a lot about fit. Also depends on what point in his career he took those jobs.

When he got to Bama we had been stuck in mediocrity for 10yrs just like Lsu before he got there. He provided winning stability. No more losing seasons.

I’d say he’d have a strong chance at Auburn, Florida, Georgia. I wouldn’t bet against Tennessee, nor TAMU, but the rest I would bet he wouldn’t win the NC at.

He showed improvement and went 9-2 in his last season there.

He also upset #1 Ohio State in 1998.

The No. 1 Buckeyes were a 28-point favorite against the Saban-led Spartans. On College GameDay, Kirk Herbstreit infamously stated 5-4 Michigan State had a zero percent chance to win the game. A 34-17 victory at No. 11 West Virginia was Ohio State’s closest margin of victory in its first eight games.

Maybe - but only if he had the best coordinators to carry him like the rest of his career.

Did you know Coach Sabah has 0 national championships at A1abana without Kirby/Pruitt?

He also had Muschamp at LSU.

Without those 3 top coordinators - Coach Sabah has zero.

Ed Orgeron is 0-6 in his career against Alabama in games where he didn't have Joe Brady, including two straight times being shutout in Baton Rouge.

Willy that goes for all coaches. In order to win it all you've got to have A+ assistants.I mean that was & still is a helluva coaching staff that won it all for y'all.

The 30 year old “passing game coordinator?” Yeah - that is totally the same thing.

Yes. That 30 year old had no impact on LSU's offense.

Orgeron has yet to beat Alabama without that "passing game coordinator."

So what was your degree in from LSU, and what year? I've noticed that actual SEC alumni don't try that argument much.

I'd say he would have won a national title at any SEC school except Mizzou, Vandy, Kentucky, MSU, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. He's an awesome recruiter and program manager, but he still needs a top tier program to recruit to with an 80,000+ stadium and solid recruiting base. 1990 was the last time a non-premier school won a national title (Colorado and GaTech). So any Big 6 school plus aTm and South Carolina.

Give Vandy a REC and a NCAA friend and they could win it.

UGA, Aub, UF he'd have won one. Maybe UT & A&M.

Nowhere else.
