That's a valid point but It hasn't been really very relevant at all other than 2013/2014 right after johnny. Both schools recruit about the same at this point. A&M should be far more concerned with LSU poaching Houston talent than OU getting the Dallas/FW recruits they always have..

Yep. They blew it.

Eff that. We don't need to add a trashy fan base.

They are a different kind of people. I was in Oklahoma in winter, my battery went dead and I needed a boost.

Over and over those bassturds refused to help me. I couldn't imagine that happening in an SEC state.

Oklahoma fans were shitty in 2003.

They made asses of themselves in New Orleans before and after the title game.

I thought since they are supposed to be a "blue blood" that they would have an act like you've been there before attitude.

Nope.

None I tried to talk to wanted to just talk football and about the game.

They were fricking terrible.

Maybe you are just one of those rare unlikable aggies, Aggie.

I went to UTexas and worked for the first eight years in a territory that included New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Ark and Louisiana.

Never met a non-friendly soul in Oklahoma. Granted, I didn't talk football a lot but the folks there are all friendly.

The folks in the South are damn friendly and helpful but none of them more than Okies.

No desire to add another Big 8 team. Would it be impolite to suggest they apply for Conference USA membership?

I thought there was already a sort of unwritten understanding among Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky and, I guess, A&M now to block any entry by the other major schools in those states.

That's my understanding as well, but it is all hearsay. I've never heard a muckety-muck say this. Still, I imagine it is mostly true.

When it comes to OU and under the current cable model, they're a non-starter even w/o OSU. It makes no sense financially. If/when a-la-carte becomes reality, then maybe it makes sense simply because you want a team that has a broad national following, which OU definitely does. But that's at least several years out, I think. As an Aggie I'd still hate bringing in OU for obvious reasons. I'd much rather see the SEC take east coast (and still southeast) teams like UNC, NC State, UVA, VaTech, etc.

A-la-carte already IS a reality.

Where? And on what carrier? It sure as hell isn't on any cable provider that I'm aware of, which means the overwhelming majority of us. If it was, ESPN would have already declared bankruptcy.

I'm curious to know why you think that would be the case? OU and A&M have always had a great relationship at the university level and it wouldn't really hurt A&M regionally recruiting wise because they have already spent many years in the same conference. I really don't know what downside there would be for A&M. It would likely improve the east/west balance in A&M and OUs favor in the future as well by moving Bama and probably auburn to the east. OU, A&M, LSU, TN in the west would be a dream scenario for A&M I would think.

Aggies left the Big 12 because we got tired of the shite sandwiches. And OU was the Longhorns buddy in the kitchen making them.

The hell with OU. You people are doing nothing but pissing people off posting your crazy idea that OU will ever be invited to the SEC.

C'mon, man. What does SlingTV have? Maybe approaching 1% of viewers?

Well they're the first a-la-carte offering service dipshit. What does it matter how many subscribers they currently have? They just started offering it. A-la-carte TV is here, which is what you asked, and SlingTV has it. Companies like SlingTV will run cable companies out of business like Netflix ran video stores out of business.

Aggots are just making bull shite stories up that never happened because they know none of the fanbases in the SEC have any experience at an away game in Norman and can't call them on their shite.

There is a large industrial cattle yard in the area and when the wind is right your eyes water from the cow shite smell. There is nothing between Norman and the north pole but a barbed wire fence. It is a god forsaken place to go to an away game.

I love, love, love you calling me dipshit. Now I know where we stand.

That's the only thing that DOES matter! If there is something else, please let me know.

That may very well be true, eventually. Sidebar: You left out RedBox. I thought RedBox was a genius idea... until it wasn't. They clearly put BlockBuster out of business, and now all of a sudden nobody uses RedBox because of Netflix et. al. None of which has anything to do with paying the exorbitant fees currently paid to the various conferences (and your brother UT, of course). I can't see a financial reason to bring in OU for at least 5 years, and that's assuming the cable model collapses - which is not a given.

The stockyards you're flapping your dickeater about are 22.5 miles away from Norman. Under no circumstances can you smell the stockyards in Norman, OK. You're so full of shite I can smell you out here on the east coast with no wind whatsoever.
