I only remember the name b/c I saw one of his football cards in my brother's collection the other day...he DID go to USC didn't he? Or no? I know Sidney Rice did (of course)...but pretty sure SY did too?

So did you also say Vince Young was a good QB too because he had a good rookie year

I'm not sure what my opinion of an individual player has to do with my opinion comparing two players.

Besides, I don't recall VY leading the league in any category like Tate has. YPC and runs for over 10 are very significant stats for RBs.

I'm just saying as of now, Tate may be getting the upper hand. Things could change in the future.

Just imagine if Tate didn't have Foster in front of him...

It's a small sample set to really be comparing anything.

And VY lead the league in Rushing TDs by a QB, as well as won Rookie of the Year.

But hey if it pisses off Bammers I'm fine with it.

I said Ingram would be a bust before he was even drafted...Taints were dumber than the Falcons for giving up what they did for Julio.

Yeah, but if you simply use the eye test, Tate looks to be bigger, faster and more elusive than Ingram.

To be fair, Tate plays in a system where running the ball is a priority, Ingram doesn't.

Tate has done very well. Ingram has done pretty well but he came into a situation with a starting running back already on the roster and an APB in Sproles coming in as well. The Saints have so many quality backs they use 4 of them and are in the top 10 in the league in rushing while being in the top 2 in passing. Ingram's personal numbers aren't stellar and Tate's numbers this year are certainly better, but one season does not a career make. I seem to remember a certain Shaun Alexander only rushing for 300 yards his rookie year and later being NFL MVP, so this is a debate that, if it continues, will take a while to settle. Both look like very good backs.

Tate has done a great job, looks much better coming off that injury than I would have expected.

He's a running back, he'll be out of the league and ineffective in 5 years.
