Imagine that, a GT bitch angry at Bear Bryant.

They couldn't hang in the SEC against him so they tucked tail and ran.

My two stories
Bear Bryant passed away on my 11th birthday. I was crushed.

My dad was was a really good high school football player but was pretty small at around 5'7" and might have been 140 lbs soaking wet.
He tried to walk on at Bama. After a few practices Bear Bryant called my dad into his office and told him something along the lines that he thought he was a good player but he was just too small and he needed to go home.

Morning of LSU Bama game, Mary Harmon called Cholly Mac's house looking for Bear. Bear was passed out drunk on the floor behind Mac's couch.

Knew the guy who was responsible for booking the Bear's offseason booster club tour. He'd always run a location past Bryant for approval & the same response came back every time.. "they will have an open bar right?".

The Bear is a legend.

A friend of a friend was a football manager for Bama back in the mid 70's. One day at practice the weather took a turn for the worse and he heard Coach Bryant call down from his tower "Manager!!". Chris sprinted up the stairs not knowing what Coach wanted but knowing that it usually wasn't good.

When he got to the top Coach handed him a big wad of keys and told him to go back to his office and get his raincoat out of the closet. Chris sprinted across the street and up to Coach Bryant's office. Once there he realized that he had no idea what key opened the closet. Unfortunately he didn't choose well and was almost on the last key before it opened the door. To his horror there were at least 5-6 raincoats. He grabbed all of them and sprinted back to the practice field.

When he got to the top of the tower Coach Bryant said "Hell son I can only wear one damn coat at a time." Chris replied "I know that Coach but I wasn't going to bring you the wrong one. You pick one out and I'll take the rest back".

Care to explain why he didn't do the same thing for FB Players that just so happened to be born Black and wanted to play at Bama?

He did.

When Bryant coached the SEC had a 140 scholarship limit for FB and BB combined. Other conference had no limits, so you could make the argument that Bryant was at a disadvantage when recruiting against non SEC teams.

So you can take your "re-write Bear Bryant's history to show he deserved Sainthood propaganda" right up your arse.

I was a kid, but I do remember the snow on New Years Eve and I remember the two teams that were to play in the Sugar Bowl on New Years Day. Do you have any recollections of the game and the unique circumstances of snow on the sidelines?

Just for the record, does that refer to very small cocks, or cocks of little, bitty midget people?.....or possibly both?

My brother-in-law was a b-in-law to La. State Senator, who along with several other State pols, met up with Coach Bryant & his State Police body guard in Las Vegas. Bryant was good friends with the State Senator. Long story, sort version, the group was playing craps in the middle of the casino, Bryant and 2 others were smashed, Coach knocking down doubles of J.D. All of a sudden, Coach's body guard grabbed Bryant & started pulling him away from the table. He was so loaded he was pissing under the table. A few dollars was passed to the casino personnel & all was good. This was in Bryant's later yrs at bama.
