I live by the REZ, Im indiffernt about all the construction. Im happy buisnesses are noticing the area but, with the passing of the new liquor laws around the REZ, I can see my piece of humble pie turning into County Line Rd. For those that know..

Except that Natchez was a hub of northern immigration with imports getting rich on cotton that fell without a shot being fired in the Civil War in spite of being a potential river stronghold on a level Vicksburg couldn't rival.
That's why it is so beautiful today while the rest of the south was burned.

wait they passed tighter liquor laws? I didn't know they could get any tighter. I had to drive to Delta La on a sunday because I couldn't get beer in Jackson on a sunday.

Incorrect. Not per capita, more period.

Not tighter, looser. Restaurants can now sell liquor in the rez area. I hear what you are saying though, Mississippi has almost archaic liquor laws here. As far as beer on sunday, thats all but gone now. A select few buisnesses still follow this no beer on sunday BS but, its rare.

I guess growing up in Louisiana where they were hardly any liquor laws made even the reformed laws seem too strict.

All slave/blood money. When you own other human beings and make them work for you, it is amazing how much you can rack up for yourself.
I love Mississippi for other reasons. The Antebellum legacy is not one of them.
