Notre Dame and Alabama would boat race Texas Tech

Absolutely not. Their DL would give us fits. I think we'd shut down their offense, but the game would be very much like the Oklahoma game. If we turned it over we'd lose, if we didn't we'd have a good chance to win.

But we certainly wouldn't boat race them.

We should have boat raced Oklahoma, though.

The odds of all the turnovers happening the way they did aren't great (extremely rare), but against a team like Oklahoma or Texas Tech that causes elite havoc up front consistently the odds are pretty good we're going to fumble 1-2 times and it's likely going to be a live ball that can be returned as QB strip sacks usually are.

And our kicker being a headcase is absolutely part of the equation every week as well.

Based on what? Their game against BYU?

They have 3-4 elite Top 3 round pick dudes in their front 7 (Rodriguez, Bailey, Height, Hunter). How good they are as a unit (and especially the back 4) might be up for debate, but they're at the very least a very good defense with a front that will cause teams with average or shaky OL lots of problems.

Specifically for Alabama, that would not be a good matchup for us.

I've only watched them against BYU, but I wasn't impressed. And the game was a shut out until the end.

I know they rate high. They are #1 defensively in FEI. However, what I saw in that game were slow players vs slow players. And the balls the QBs were throwing were mostly floaters.

I think there is a Big12 bubble in the stats. They haven't really played anyone of note. And they lost to ASU.

I don't know why we consider the Big12 a power conference even after Texas and Oklahoma left. They were already gutted prior to that and it was basically the nail in the coffin.

Welcome to the post-saban world, the “we could have”, “ we should have”, “ we are better” etc. You are no different than anyone else now. Welcome aboard. It’s a tough ride.

I mean, we're different than most people. But not everyone, that is true.

AzSt threw for 319 yards and their qb was sacked twice.

OreSt passed for 275.
Kansas 245.

I like Ty's chances in the passing game vs TexasTech.
