Is proof the SEC will never get two teams in. ESPN announcer asked him if he would ever stop scheduling little sisters of the poor. He said no. He said the his goal is to go undefeated. shite. Even then, a one loss SEC team would have to be picked over TWO conference champs, one of which will undoubtedly only have one loss. Politically the playoff won't let that happen, and Briles knows is. At the end of the day on the resume, Buffalo is no different than LSU doing Heisman poses after scoring on Sam Houston State. The name of the game is not to schedule tough OOC. It's the EXACT same as the BCS. The only way we will ever stop having shitty games around the country is conference champs getting autobids, and trying to sneak in with an at large bid.
When teams like Georgia refuse to expand to a 9 game conference schedule, we are going to have 3-4 shitty schools a year. It's unavoidable. So stupid.

Slow down
The top 2 defenses in the Big 12 last year, TCU and Oklahoma State Baylor scored 20 and 17 offensive points against them. If you want to include the Top 5 defenses, 20, 17, 41, 35, 23 offensive points.
This offense is good at running it up against bad teams, but the Top 5 Big 12 defenses were able to shut down or at least contain Baylor's offense. Only broke 40 once against the Top 5 Big 12 defenses. Teams that have good defensive lines with athletic secondaries can contain it.
Plus Baylor's defense hasn't been tested yet.

Briles: 0-15 vs. ranked teams on the road
Stoops: 87-5 at home

Agree
Baylor beat Oklahoma 41-12 last year but Trevor Knight didn't play. Blake Bell had a shite game and couldn't complete a pass. Oklahoma led most of the 1st half but Bell was so bad that eventually Baylor was able to get rolling because Oklahoma was putting no pressure on them.
Had Oklahoma had any offense that game and kept the pressure on Baylor it would have been different

Baylor's secondary is weak
Buffalo has dropped 3 deep balls thrown to open guys who beat the secondary

I hope not, but anything is possible in college football. Oklahoma got steam rolled by the sips last year and then beat Bama. Upsets happen. The better team doesn't always win.

Oklahoma State in 2001
TCU in 2005
Texas Tech in 2011
Kansas State in 2012
Notre Dame in 2012
Those are the only five times that Oklahoma has lost in Norman since Bob Stoops became the head coach.
______
That's the blank representing the ranked teams that Art Briles has beaten on the road.

And it's why you want an 8 game conference schedule. This was well reported.

So you want to bitch about another team playing 4 cup cakes when you do the exact same thing? Logical
