Really, nothing about making men out of boys, nothing about fulfilling a promise to the players family to treat them like one of their own and seeing them thru their Degree. Nothing about teaching them life lessons so they can be productive citizens?
I see you have really bought into the process.

If Barnett would have stuck around he would have learned a Lesson about perseverance, other chances, seeing things through etc etc. can't really learn those lessons if you quit when the going gets tough.
Why did you quit on Gadsden?

I heard there was a pervert hanging around rest areas. I figured the state of Louisiana had forced their pervs on Alabama and it was time to get out.

One kid started the first game and froze up, so Saban went with a guy that immediately produced, and consequently installed him as the starter. If that's what you're referring to as "the process", count me, along with every other coach in the country, in!

Of course you bought into it because of the results. But I can not believe you are that big of a hypocrite. If it was any other Coach or program, you would be calling them out as emphatically as you are defending Saban. Playing the best player is one thing, lying to the others to keep them around is another. Then calling him a quitter and attacking his character is the cherry on top. I believe that is the focus of the story.

Long story short, if either of them were better, they'd still be at Alabama.
And if either of them had been told the truth, they would have been gone from Alabama sooner and eligible at another school sooner.

If you really believe all college coaches are serious about that recruiting spiel, then you are very naive. By the way, I have an ausome investment opportunity in which you will probably be interested. Email me at geehesgullible.com

The sad part is that players parents believe it. The really sad part is the HS Head Coaches will suck the dicks of these College Coaches and know that their player is being sold a bag of goods. They do it thinking it will help them and are telling the players B.S to gain favor. I think in part that is why the NCAA restricted HC Coaches participating in summer camps.

As for being a hypocrite, I'd be laughing at another team's coach if he didn't do what he thought was best for his team to win.
If you'll notice, Saban said nothing about the kid that transferred after the season....how many kids do you know that walk off 4 games into the season?

Big time recruits and their parents know EXACTLY what the process is all about. Damn fool, they're being recruited by multiple schools, and most of them are using negative recruiting against each other! What the recruiting coaches are telling them are pretty much straight, but only a fool would believe in guaranteed playing time, and Saban ain't telling anybody that!
Get down off your pulpit!! Even you don't believe the shite you're spewing.

It really is a waste of your breathe my friend... Most of them are either so stupid that they believe their own bullshite or they have such a blind hatred/jealousy of Saban/Bama that it clouds their judgement. Either way no sense trying to debate with them.

When 6 players a year were getting processed by Saban so he could oversign the next class, those HS Coaches kept their mouth shut (they knew what would happen if the spoke out). Tell Barnett's Parents about that horse shite you talk about. He sells them on the NFL and their development as a player, remember all the recruits talk about Bama being all business. Too bad for those that do not progress on Saban's schedule. Guaranteeing playing time as a recruit is one thing, telling players the week of the game is another. All part of the process.

No, we just love watching the Bama Fans defend the actions of Saban even when deep down some of them are indefensible. If only some would come out and just say "we don't give a shite, he wins". But the response by some on here is beyond hypocritical.

Auburn fans would do the same for Gus.
LSU fans would do the same for Coach O.
That's why they're called fans. It's really not that difficult to comprehend.

[/quote]You're one really dumb fella!
Do you not actually think that the other coaches recruiting those kids weren't pumping that shite into them on a regular basis? Hell, the Auburn recruiters were probably leading the pack! The truth is these kids know perfectly well how competitive it is at Alabama and only 11 guys at a time can play. Give them credit because they've got enough confidence to take the challenge. Unfortunately they can't all see the field, BUT the unique thing about most Alabama recruits is that they're still good enough to transfer and be a contributor at other major schools (Alvin Kamara for example), so they transfer.
And finally, when did it not become the coaches prerogative to play whoever he wanted, whenever he wanted?...this ain't fricking play period at kindergarten, dickhead!
