Ok but the way that sounds to me is it gives a significant advantage to forwards and centers since Waters will be almost completely irrelevant in the blocks and rebounds column. Does that make him a worse player? No

And giving a player bonus points just because they foul less seems odd

Guards are allowed to get rebounds and blocks just as front court players are allowed to get assists and steals.
Williams leads the league in scoring and is in the top 11 in assists, rebounds, blocks and steals.

He doesn’t lead the league in scoring. I just spent 20 minutes going through every conference game and doing the math and posted the numbers for you, and top 11 is great but Waters is #1 in assists and steals

It’s a SEC award. So I think it’s should be for sec play. Obviously waters wouldn’t lead when you go out of conference because he was benched at that point. That’s such bs to even consider that a fair comparison

You can create the Terrific Tales Player of the Year if you want where rebounds, blocks, turnovers, efficiency, and OOC play aren’t factors. I have no doubt Waters would be the heavy favorite to win that one.

There's still plenty of games to play. If Tennessee drops 3 out of their last 6 that could probably knock Williams out.

Williams got bullied against UK. Dude could not handle the physicality of that game and it showed in the 1st half

Probably Grant Williams. Might depend on Washington's rest of the season though.
