The Gamecocks yesterday (Sunday) played an exhibition game against Allen University, who is picked by many to win the NAIA this season. The cocks stifling defense held them to just 43 points.

The cocks regular season play starts November 14th at the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. We will take on Norfolk State.

How has your team done in it's preseason game(s)?

Real basketball schools brag when you get those when they actually count.

Auburn beat Indianapolis 114-109 in overtime in a game that featured 90 free throw attempts and 55 3-point attempts and, mostly, the Tigers were OK with the tough test on the way to the season-opener against UAB on Nov. 13.

LMMFAO at AU bragging about points scored - allowing 109! and needing overtime to beat Division II - Indianapolis!!!

I didnt watch much of LSU's exhibition unfortunately. Saw the first 10 minutes. They got up by 20 in the first 10 minutes. I really couldnt take a single thing away from it. Think they ended up winning by around 26 or so.

I feel like about the only things you can really take away from exhibition games against these tiny schools is potential starting lineups, how a player is doing post-injury (Poythress looks like he's finally jumped that mental hurdle to the knee injury), and who the fan favorite walk-on will be.

Unless you're St. John's. Then you're just telling the world you might be the worst team in D1.

The mentality on here re: basketball, is remedial for the most part. Winning in the regular season is nice, but it's all about March. Too bad team OOC schedules like LSU look a lot like playing Division II exhibition games. Who the frick does LSU's OOC scheduling? Embarrassing.
