Get rid of the abomination known as the aluminum bat, and the run rule won't be necessary.

Agreed, but also for the pitching aspect of it. Pitching is almost always ins short supply. SEC weekends are a lot of who has the most pitching left on Sunday. Even in a blowout, you have to burn arms. This just helps whoever has lesser pitching depth. On a different note, but still pitching-related. This is when guys get opportunities to show what they have vs SEC teams who are in the back of the bullpen.

nah its a good rule overall to have the mercy rule, I don't think this is because of UT though...I get why they want to be flattered though, they don't win in the postseason

Well good luck hitting anything this year agains't this LSU staff now that Johnson has had a full offseason to recruit and hit the portal. Just make sure your coaches and players don't all get tossed for crying like little 3 year olds
