If I had to take a stab at how the 1-seeds would look if the NCAA Tournament started today, I’d go:

1. Texas
2. Arkansas
3. Georgia
4. North Carolina
5. Auburn
6. LSU

7. Florida State
8. Clemson
9. Vanderbilt
10. Coastal Carolina
11. Tennessee
12. West Virginia
13. Oregon State
14. Florida
15. Alabama

16. UC Irvine

We've been swept just as many times as we've swept someone else. There has to be someone more deserving.

We were swept on the road by the #1 team and #11 (our only 2 series losses this year). We swept #8 at home and have series wins over #7 and #17.

We’re also #1 in RPI, #3 in ELO, and #6 in SOS. We’re tied for 3rd place in the SEC with 2 series to go.

I think it’s funny that anyone is ranking us #1 but our resume is pretty damn stout.

I might understand staying at 1 after being swept - if the games were close and nobody else is deserving. But those were a$$ kickings. UT should have dropped.

Yeah that's my problem with the ranking. The #1 team should at least be competitive, even in a hostile environment. They completely dominated our team. It never felt close.

Because we have been cold offensively relative to how we started the year and even though the pitching is much improved, we still cant bring ourselves as fans to trust it (especially since the bullpen is the reason we got swept in Austin and Nashville)

Oklahoma moved more for beating equally ranked Ole Miss more than Ole Miss moved up for beating top 10 Vandy.

At least we are into May when these rankings actually start to mean something.

Last I’d seen was that second MRI revealed that the injury wouldn’t require surgery, just rehab (so presumably not a UCL tear as feared) and he could be back this weekend for Bama even if just as a DH.

Then again, we’ve been led astray by cosches happy talk in both football and baseball more times than I count the last 2 years so for all we know he actually needs TJ and it’s just a matter of pain tolerance swinging a bat
