Too bad Jr. won't be as good as his dad. He may be alittle better than Walter Payton's kid but i see Fred Taylor's kid being better.

I see Sanders JR staying closer to home.

Kelvin Taylor will be a stud.

Hopefully he doesn't go to UF and get ruined by Meyer's offense...

Good point. And you know he probably wants out of his dad's shadow and to make a name for himself. What better way than to find success at another institution?

Wow man, that is some strong stuff maybe you should call Nick Saban and see if he will hire you to do the recruiting on this kid.

It has always seemed to me like the sons tend to go away from where their dad played. I mean, it isn't like Barry Sanders was at OkieSt in the early 70s. Anyone in that fanbase born before 1980 is gonna have vivid memories of his Heisman year. If his son doesn't go out and absolutely dominate, even if he has a good career, he will never live up to his father. If he goes somewhere else, the expectations would still be there, but they wouldn't be quite so high.

He can't afford my buy-out.

If the REC can shell out $250k for a fat useless kid from Memphis I'm sure they could find a way to make it happen.

I think with recruiting way more open than it was 30-40 years ago, it makes it harder for "legacies" to pick the school their parent went to.

Now, every school is aware of you, throwing all types of offers on the table, making the decision take a little longer. It's not as open and shut as people think.

Kelvin Taylor, if you are reading this, you will be ruined by Urban Meyer's offense.

Frankly, I'd go be in the Fun n Gun with Spurrier than Meyer's spread. But Spurrier will likely be retired by then...

Barry Sanders Sr does not even live in Oklahoma. I know there is perceived pressure for OSU but I doubt it is as great as people make it out to be.

I believe Barry lives in Michigan (just outside of Detroit) and his son lives in OKC with his mother who is not married to Barry Sr.

Barry currently resides in West Bloomfield, Michigan, just outside of Detroit, and is married to the former Lauren Campbell, currently a news anchor on a local news station, and the couple have three children together. Sanders also has a son, Barry James Sanders from a previous relationship, who is currently a notable high school football prospect.
