Constitutional rights? Nobody thinks he should be tossed in the clink without due process. But the point is that Saban and your fanbase don't give two shits about the players or what they do. He should just say so. But don't whine about Ole Miss cheatin bears or rag on LSU or UT whenever there is a disciplinary issue. Good news is I hear a lot less about Saban running a tight ship and doing things the right way from your fanbase compared to the old days. I think most of you have embraced the fact he would come up with an excuse to let the Son of Sam play if it would improve the pass rush.

I don't believe it. Saban would have talked about how responsible he was for not shooting anyone else.

Victim: my house was just robbed, what should I do.

Lawyer: don't talk to the police without your attorney present

Victim: why?

Lawyer: because I bill by the hour

Talking in absolutes when it regards the law is just very ignorant.

I suppose a set of facts could be hypothesized where a completely innocent victim shouldn't cooperate with a police investigation, but if we are remaining in the context of the situation we are dealing with I don't see it.

Bullshait.

Dude's in his 60s. There's no way he hasn't lost a couple of steps.

Seen it before. Doesn't apply to reporting crimes as a completely innocent victim. Try again.

No but if he is involved in the situation he needs to lawyer up first, that is my point. If he was a "bystander" who "witnessed" the crime it is another story.

The context of this situation includes a young black man being shot in a lousy area of town. It really isn't hard to hypothesize that, even if he is truly nothing more than a victim, the Tuscaloosa PD might treat Davis as somewhat less than innocent.

It wouldn't be very difficult.

So a cop assaults you. Would a competent lawyer tell you to go make a statement without a lawyer with you?

Dude, he listed the signing bonuses. Fishing trips and laptops are performance incentives.

On the field, Bama only loses when they beat themselves.

Off the field, Bama only gets hurt when they shoot themselves.

Saban has those boys believing in his system.
