2 weeks ago every Gump on here was up in arms on how the "dirty, cheatin Kiffin & UT" had just "unethically" stolen Thompson from them right before signing day.
Now, they have repeated the same feat with Willis from Auburn, except even closer to NSD!!

I guess it goes to show, nobody's as dirty & cheatin' as the Bammers!
(now proceed with flaming, inarticulate, Gump responses that in no way argue against the actual point of the thread)

I agree with this...
at Alabama

If they think they got a winner in that POS JW let'em keep cheering... It is well known that the AU LB Corp couldnt handle traffic in the middle... An old friend of AU has been contacted; JW will not be missed... AU fans are more Po'd about where JW went than disappoint in his leaving... JW is now dead to AU fans ....

Seriously though, I was only pissed because LT was doing such a good job for us in recruiting. If I were Tennessee, I would have done the same thing. Having said all that

When you say Auburn has contacted an old friend, I hope you are talking about Joe Whitt.
If Chizik rehires Joe Whitt, I will personally send Nick Saban a thank you note for hiring James Willis. Joe Whitt is a better coach than James Wills will ever be.

Joe Whitt would be a good hire.

definitely fair enough criticism. i can see how you concluded this. but, see, you can't just generalize like that. don't you get it? it's hundreds of thousands of people you're refering to.
it's natural for an animal (the beast of a mob mentality) to LASH out when they've been hurt. LOSING Lance Thompson was a VERY surprising blow to us. so, the natural response is to justify it or say whatever you got to to feel better. lucky for us, Saban goes out and keeps our stride right on pace.
what fanbase wouldn't do this?

You are just flaming with an inarticulate post yourself. I didn't rail on the Thompson move in the least, and said its just part of the coaching profession.

Well I guess that makes 1 of you.

I would say most wouldn't have the same response as Bammers had.
When Chavis got hired by another SEC team as DC, I was pissed because I always thought he was a good coach, but you didn't see me flaming on this board talking about how LSU was doomed for failure....

What really got under my skin is the way Kiffen started arrogantly flaunting "stealing the best recruiters from every SEC team". He's an idiot for gloating about it. I don't really blame fans for gloating, but the head coach? Show a little class Kiffen.
Well I guess that makes 1 of you.

My fav bammer hypcritical thinking is how Miles is lucky and Saban makes his luck

Where I can see why people didn't like Kiffin's comments, I do like the energy he and his staff are bringing to the table.
You are right, though. The fact that he's been talking like that is going to make him look worse if he doesn't succeed. Thankfully, our schedule next year is pretty favorable before it gets quite a bit tougher in 2010.

Not true. I am very active on UT message boards and I would say 85-90% of UT fans had the "wish him well" attitude towards Chavis.
Don't go making unsubstantiated statements like that one.

Damn right I'm a hypocrite. I loved Coach Thompson. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple times, so it hurt to see him go. We just have to learn that's the way of the business now days.
