Sucks to see these kids make dumb choices like this. I think they should be punished accordingly, but hopefully they will realize the mistakes and pick up the pieces. I just don't think that should be at Alabama.

I agree. Unless CRob knew the gun was stolen, this shouldn't end their career but just as with Pettway, choices should have consequences.

This should just end their career at Alabama, or at least Cam Rob's.

He will be fine, go to a small school, still get drafted, and make millions.

Yep - assuming everything we know is the true and the extent of things, that is the way this should go.

Go to a 1AA school for 2016, put out good tape, get drafted in the first 2 rounds probably. Plenty of guys have come back from worse stuff than this. He didn't deal drugs, he didn't assault anyone, he didn't hit a woman, etc. His life isn't over.

Unfortunately I feel pretty confident he will stick around at Alabama. Don't really like it, but it's the way the world works most places. Especially with Saban.

Being that he has no previous criminal offenses, why should Alabama have to move on from Robinson? If he'll still have a future playing and still be a draftable prospect. If, and a big one at that, these charges are pleaded down, I don't necessarily agree he's done at Alabama.

They were not cooperative. The car was searched only because they pulled the race card on the police officer. Truth.

I was waiting for this to start to leak out. There's a lot more to this story than people think.

This is the part we are all waiting on. If all is true as has been reported, then I'd be fine with him being done at Bama. If it is not, then I'm fine with him continuing.

Dude. You don't get second chances with guns.

I'm not going to be the one leaking facts in an ongoing investigation. It will come out soon enough.

Dude. Read the entire post. It was a response to someone suggesting he'll play somewhere else, just not Alabama. And have an NFL career. Clearly that suggests the poster sees a "second chance".

Can you at least say whether it is a good or bad thing for Cam and Hootie?

He has plenty of tape, why risk injury at JUCO? He should just get with a personal trainer/ex-NFL tackle and continue to work on his craft.

That was actually kind of what I was thinking. No point is going to Sam Houston State for 6 months when you already have 2 full years of pretty good tape (outside of the first half of 2015).

That implies a second chance. If that's the case, why shouldn't it be at Alabama. Assuming the charges are pleaded down. Which by their face value, he wouldn't be getting a second chance anywhere if they're not pleaded down.

Man, he was just caught with a stolen gun while in possession of a controlled substance in a closed public park.

Its just not a college bar fight or failed drug test. These are felony offenses that land people in jail for serious amounts of time.

Well if its pleaded down, I could understand. My post was assuming that the felony possession of a stolen firearm sticks. To be honest, he could be charged with a lot more shite than he already has. He better hope the DA goes the direction of pleading down as opposed to tacking on more.

I don't want the kids life ruined, I really don't. I honestly think if an LSU star got caught in the same situation I'd wish them well and want to move on.

Whether it's plead down or not, a gun is still a gun. Should never touch a collegiate field again.
