I agree. But hey, some idiot Bammers on here think it'll be another 36-0 beatdown again.

Hopefully, if Bama wins the fans can easily say it was two good teams that just played a real good game...instead of the we were looking ahead, we only had three days to prep garbage that we got last year.

Don't you think those are the most vital positions for experience? Plus after the so called game day experienced players at every positon, what about that depth? Saban likes to rotate players a lot. So they will get thrown into th fire as well.
Yes, I do. Saban likes corners who can play one-on-one for the whole game so he can use his blitz packages to his advantage. As far as depth is concerned, I don't think you have to worry about it at the defensive line or linebacker position. Most of the guys in the rotation have experience in game day situations. The only depth problems will be in the secondary where there are young but talented players lining up to play. I think we'll eventually be okay at both corner positions but the Free Safety position does have me worried a lot. Had Robby Green not gotten himself suspended I would feel much better.

They're going to have growing pains. You can't sit here and tell me there will not be any drop off from last year. The offense better be ready to score more points when asked to do so, too.
I never said there wouldn't be a drop off. I just don't believe the drop off will be as big as some people tend to think. Yes there will be growing pains but I think Alabama will be hitting its stride by the end of the year.

Fair enough.
Personally, I don't see Auburn beating us at home. But that's a ways away, can't wait.

That is actually a good point. People have to work on Friday and they may now have to change vacation days or hotel reservations.
Keep the game on Saturday, beat their arse, rest the starters at half, start preping for Auburn on that Thursday befre.

I'm actually wondering how the University is going to handle a Thursday night game. I don't think there has ever been a Thursday night game in Tuscaloosa before. I know Alabama played Southern Miss on a Thursday night at Legion Field back in 2001. I'm just wondering if they will cancel classes because the Quad is going to be a mess if a lot of people are able to get off work for that day.

No way in hell I'm going to class that Friday
On second thought, I should go, and take a handle of something with me.

The majority of that came in response to the au fans who said the game proved they would beat Bama again once the talent evened up, au lead for 58 minutes and only lost because of illegal pick plays (which is untrue btw), au has the better coaching staff and will prove it once they get a couple of recruiting classes, and Mark Ingram sucks.
I say we build a big bonfire, sing songs and hold hands in a showing of solidarity among the fanbases. That will make the rivalry fun.

They didnt cancel classes when AU played Wyoming in 2001 and it was a mess.

Illegal pick plays?
Mark Ingram does not suck...we just did what Coach Saban told us to do...we made his arse quit.

You focused on Ingram and forgot Richardson and Julio. We should have kept Ingram out for the whole game since it seemed all your coaches told the defense to do was key on him. They would have been confused to not see him in there.
