I'm wondering the same thing.
To get any type of scholarship to Alabama he'd need to improve his GPA by 1.0

UGA is an exception. As is UF.

Also does out of state tuition increase my chances.
Not with shitty test scores/GPA. State schools want to show that they're recruiting GOOD students from out of state to boost their numbers.

No scholarship + out of state tuition = bad idea

I've put about 1% effort into HS and I'm fairly sure UF would offer me a scholarship.

thats what i thought. Is it the Hope Scholarship, that is a result from the lottery? 3.0 gets a free ride

If you are going to go to Alabama as an undergraduate, you need to become an Alabama fan. Period. If you don't root for the school where you got your degree, there is something wrong with you.
LSU can still be your second favorite team.
But your first team has to be the one from which you graduated.

thats retarded. So people that grow up LSU fans and then go to tulane for the education benefits should become tulane fans? silly 'rule'

Ole Miss is as hard as any other state school in the south
I know Ole Miss has it's share of good qualities, many of which a lot of folks mock and disparage... but I don't really see how you can back this up.

I'm not sure of the SAT, but the minimum ACT score for a non-athlete is 21. The average GPA for incoming Freshman is 3.4, so you should try to get your GPA up beforehand, otherwise you'll need to have a much higher test score. Good Luck!

i think you should maintain any sports loyalties that you had prior to enrolling at a university, but i do think that you should be a fan of your own school as well. luckily for me there isn't much of a conflicting interest with pulling for both LSU and tulane

if you're an LSU fan that doesn't live in alabama why would you go to school there?
I've got family around there, and two cousins who graduated there. I'm really just looking at schools all around the south.

Not trying to be a jackass, but with a 2.5 your best bet is Ole Miss or MSU if you want to be in the SEC.
