So in your world, the score doesn't matter. I proclaim Kentucky 12-0 and headed to the playoffs then. Congratulations to UK!

(1) "could" is different from "definitely would".
(2) bama is now a better team than Texas. We were not at the beginning of the year. However, Texas deserves a playoff spot over bama, provided they win Saturday.

Because they can escape with a miracle win against Auburn?
Texas skullfuked Bama in Dennys

I think its covered in 5-100 .

I have always been under the impression that score was the determining factor in which team actually won a game.
Oh sorry, I forgot about moral victories. Lol

You haven't been paying attention then nerd.
Josh Pate wrote anonymously on Bama boards an "Imagine" series of Anti-Cam Newton posts before Pate became more well known.

Anybody that watched the game knows Auburn beat themselves.
Don't worry. Nobody watched the uga game yesterday to see how bad you are at stopping the run vs GaTech, because nobody gives a frick about uga. It's why you mutts interject in conversations having nothing to do with you. Look at us! What do we have to do to get some attention? We've won 29 in a row! On the verge of a 3peat!!
Still... nobody fricking cares.
Don't worry. Everyone will be watching the game you're playing in next week. And the win steak will stop violently at 29. It's been a great run, even if nobody cared. Hope you've enjoyed it. It's over. Prepare for 2 losses to BAMA in the next 10 months.

Nothing at JHS is predictable. Auburn did the same to Bama in almost the same game set-up and a 4OT dramatic finish in 2021 before Bama beat UGA for the SEC Championship.
But, yes. I'd argue Bama is a much better team now than in Sept. Ewers seemed to get his groove back vs Tech, coming off of injury. So, UTx's off-games aren't reflective of them, either.
uTx:
- 3 point win over 4-8 Houston: go-ahead score with 5:37 left
- 10-point win over 5-loss ISU
- 3-point win over 5-7 TCU
- OT win over 4 loss KSU
UTx is a good team and very deserving. I think they have the best SoS and SoR among all contenders. Bama should not be in over UTx, but I think a repeat game vs UTx is much more competitive than week 2.
Bama will struggle to find support to get in as a 1-loss SEC champ unless FSU or UTx lose. If they really blow the doors off of UGA, as unlikely as that is, they could get enough support over a 1-loss Oregon, assuming Oregon has an ugly win in their mulligan game vs Udub. But that is unlikely, given Pac support this year.

But arguing Bama is better than Texas is a stretch.

Bama won the stats and the TO battle too so not really sure where AU won this game. IF anything they were lucky to be in it.
