Alabama fans just can't accept the fact that their team isn't going to be very good this year.
Just wait until the loses start piling up. The battered women shelters are going to be filling up fast.

I've read where the QB race is between Bateman and Hurts. What is going on with BB? Really thought he was going to be "the guy" for y'all.

the time to beat bama is to catch them early. the problem is that those that do can't take advantage of that. Arkansas doesn't even compete in that game. I don't think they have ever beat bama.

by mid season these "bad" qb's you mention will be excellent game managers and just let the rest of the team beat the dog shite out of opponents.

He doesn't hold on to the ball. Maybe the lights are too bright for him. He will probably never see meaningful snaps at UA with Hurts and Tua coming in next year. Damn shame. We were all so hyped about him.

Strong arm, lots of confidence, but still throws too many int's.

I know man. My buddy is a big Bama fan and was jacked about him and I really thought it was his job to lose this year. And I guess he's lost it.

I feel Bateman is going to start due to the experience factor, but Hurts could take over later on in the season.

By senior QB you mean the guy who had been in the program for 2 years? The same guy who was bama's worst starting QB since JPW

He had been in college for 5 years. A guy that is 22-23 year old is a more reliable option than a 18-19 year old. All the options probably have more talent than Coker but you can't just look past the part that he was an adult.

I have a funny feeling our DL will make a lot of OLs look miserable.

If LF had to run against Alabama's D in practice, he'd look like shite too.

One reason why is.... they practicing against potentially the best and fastest college football defense in history. Every single starter including the DL runs sub 5 40s.

LINK

Payne, who started three games as a freshman last year, may be one of the most freakish athletes in the country.
At 6-foot-2, 319 pounds, the former five-star recruit from Birmingham ran a 4.93 40-yard dash during the spring and wasn't allowed to go above 500 pounds on the bench press, 600 pounds on squat or 365 pounds on power clean.
Hand, the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2014 recruiting class, ran a 4.80 40 during the spring at around 280 pounds. He has also supposedly bench-pressed 225 pounds 42 times.
Foster is another freak. During the spring, at 235 pounds, he ran a 4.64 40, had the second-best broad jump on the team (10'3") and had one of the top vertical jumps on the team (35 inches). He has since lost 10 pounds and says he is even more explosive.
Three of the Tide's defensive backs ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds or better during the spring — Anthony Averett (4.34), Tony Brown (4.34) and Fitzpatrick (4.43).
Humphrey, a former track standout, wasn't tested. Otherwise, it may have been four.

Nope, the defense is that good. The QBS are good but when facing the Bama defense it isn't fair for a QB. I have a feeling a lot QBs are going to look bad vs this Bama defense.

This Bama defense will be one of the best in the Saban era at Bama.

It is true tha Bama qb's have committed a lot of turnovers practicing against the Bama number ones on defense. Whether or not that means the qb's are bad or Bama's defense is really good at takeaways, we won't know until they play a game. Likely somewhere in between. We should consider the qb competition. In practice it is vital to put your offense in certain situations, like obvious passing downs to see if how they react. It's just part of Saban's process. He will ending up starting the one who turns the ball over the least no matter how old he is. Same Coach, same process. Those who don't think Bama will be good this year have a learning disability.

I agree and it's a shame. This year's WR Corp is probably the best it's ever been (as a unit) and Bama has no one, NO ONE who can get them the ball. Hell, the qbs can't even hand off to the talentless RB'S without coughing up the ball.

It's going to be a rough season for the Tide due to lack of experience in key positions. (QB & RB)

There are way too many posters on this site posting this kind of dreck.

History is always our guide and history says Coach Saban will figure it out.

Well shite. Stellar QB play is the only thing that has carried our team for the past couple of years. I guess it really is over.
