Tons of penalties and tons of turnovers. Rantards say LSU= poorly coached when this happens, so I deduce that Saban is a bad coach?
BTW we nearly lead the league for fewest penalties and fewest turnovers.
Their offense is pretty pathetic too...

Their passing game is pathetic but their run game is the best in the SEC. They also have an identity on offense which LSU lacks. They run to set up play action and even though their QB sucks, defenses still have to respect it.

Bama is extremely well coached...you can't ignore it or make the argument otherwise

The also failed to score an offensive TD until late in the game. Similar to us vs. GA. They kept getting field goals.

Here we go!!! Bama 7-0 Should be #1 in the country in the polls. Beat every opponent by double digits and have been VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!! Poorly coached my arse.

I think you people are missing the point.
When LSU has turnovers and boneheaded penalties, the assumption is that LSU is poorly coached (a knock on Les Miles).
When Bama (or other teams) have turnovers and boneheaded penalties, coaching is not a factor.
When Bama (or other teams) have turnovers and boneheaded penalties against LSU, then it is luck.
Face it guys, to some of you, every Les Miles victory is like a needle jabbed in your eye.

they're terrible. I see a slow, long, downward spiral in their program, based upon what i saw last night.

I guess you don't know tongue in cheek when you see it?
If we have penalties everybody says Miles is a bad coach.
If we turn the ball over everybody says Miles is a bad coach.
If we score only one offensive TD everybody says Miles is a bad coach.
yet it is conceded that Saban is the greatest. The only thing they are better at than LSU is running the ball, and LSU will be able to stop that run

They have a great running game. why pass when you run for nearly 300 yards in a game.
That being said, LSU matches up against them very well. we have a very good defense that is capable of slowing their run game enough to hang with them if we can find an offense.

Both teams have turnover and penanlty problems. However Bama has looked MUCH more polished and dominant.

One similarity btw Bama I see and when Saban was here is that it seems like every time they get a long punt or kick off return there is a block in the back. Maybe I'm just nit-picking. As far as Offensive game-planning, maybe all my bitching about Jimbo should have been directed at Saban b/c the offensive game-plans look the same.

LSU has neither a turnover nor a penalty problem

That team looked undisciplined and sloppy. There should have been a couple of pass interference calls on Bama that weren't

quote:No, he is a god and a deity. Only LSU's coaching sucks when the team makes mistakes, other teams and coaches get a free pass.
so I deduce that Saban is a bad coach?

To be honest, it was good to watch the games yesterday - I watched tons of the "top" teams - Bama, FL, Tex., OU ... even USCe had a pretty good record. None of them looked invicible. Almost all of them struggled at the QB position.
Bama's QB struggled mightily. From following the game thread I think they have gone a few quarters before this game without an offensive TD. It got to the point in the end where Saban put 'em in the Wildcat and just snapped it directly to Ingram and they finally scored an offensive TD. Ingram was indeed impressive.
I think the McElroy kid is a new starter but I don't know what grade/class he is. I think it is harder to shine as a QB against SEC defenses than many here realize.
After watching all those games yesterday, it sure seems like the defeatisim comming from the doom and gloomers may have more to do with a lack of testosterone production on their part than on how LSU stacks up agasint their remaining schedule.

Bama has also had the benefit of a very favorable schedule up until now. They have some much more difficult games ahead of them. They are not invencible. If LSU can get their shite together, we could beat them.
My prediction remains LSU V. Florida in the SECCG

I've raised this question both on here and to Bama fans on other boards before and they never have an answer.
The bottom line is Miles is perceived to be an idiot and is held to a different standard than Saban.
